My pick is Vanderson ladies and gentlemen, just look at the data, profile similar to Trent but much better defensively, variety of passes, good scanning and penetration of the offensive third.

Agree2 Disagree0

Never heard of the guy.

Monaco RB Oli. Haven't seen much of him, looks very offensive minded, and probably a bit easier to be a defender in the French league.

Good penetration, you say?

Brazilian plays for AS-Monaco, plenty of media sites reporting a keen LFC interest, circa £25 million fee aged 23,24 in circa 7 weeks time, so 24 and just getting the limelight, does look impressive on you tube highlights, but who doesn't! one thing though plenty of good right backs are out there for Arne/ Hughes to choose from!

On a sidenote was willing to watch the play-off tonight coventry v sunderland in the hope of seeing Jayden Danns perform not in the team or on the bench sadly!

{Ed001's Note - he is injured.}

Be careful using penetration and Trent in the same sentence. Jude may get jealous.

Bellinghams brother plays for Sunderland and reported LFC interest by some media sites, making you ponder whether Danns might be included in any LFC transfer for Bellingham should Arne be interested.

Shame if materialises as Danns is well worth keeping, useless outside the box, but inside the box a future beast/ Origi super sub!

Glad ye answered me question ed001, been wanting to clarify the following: when Arne first came to the Club, where did his PR assistant Tony Barratt suddenly come from, I have often seen him on the LFC channel as a news paper reporter for the Times over the years, as I did hear that Pierce of the Athletic is it was gutted as he had his heart set on that job, any background ed001 on Barratt as does seem better than a journalist role. Thanks in Hindsight!

{Ed001's Note - he is just a useful mouthpiece as Pearce is disliked. Every club tends to have a go to when they want to get their side of a story out, ours is now Barrett.}

Any interest in Wesley Franca? Seen an article stating us and city are looking at him?

As good as he (and others) might be, it's time to play Conor Bradley on the right full-time

Bring a more experienced right back for cover and injuries, or just give that role to Joe Gomez.

The more I think about it the more likely it is that frimpong will be our guy given the price, age and the relationships he has with other members of the squad. Given how Salah likes to take up the inside half space on the right and Conor and Dom like under lapping into the box, frimpong is a very different player in that he loves skinning defenders on the very edge of the pitch, he is lethal on the wing taking on defenders and will stretch the pitch. The question in the end is can he defend adequately in a back four and can we build the team so that we can minimise the risk he brings on a defensive level, because the advantages he brings offensively are big.

I really hope and believe Bradley will get his chance next season to stake his claim for the starting right back role and the way Slot talks about him you can clearly see he rates him highly.

Issue is, is his fitness and he’s missed 19 games through injury this season. It’s been said Gomez can cover him but he’s missed 25 games.

Saying we have Gomez, Jones, Quansah or Endo to cover is like saying sell Nunez and don’t replace as Diaz, Salah or Gakpo can also play there. It’s just square pegs in round holes.

Personally I’d like to see someone come in to compete with Bradley or even rotate with him.

Barrett has been there for quite some time now. He joined in 2017. Neil Jones joined him last year too.

I would say they are why the PR machine constantly has us all on strings. Whether we like it or not, they are doing their jobs well when you compare it to Man United :)
