I have to say, if the Wirtz deal comes to fruition, I'm thoroughly impressed by the efficiency of the backroom staff thus far. 3 exciting talents, under the age of 25, with little fuss, ans before the window even opens.
Imagine if they manage to bring in 2 to 3 more players (forward, midfielder, CB) . What a job this far. Efficient and well done.

I would imagine that Wirtz is our striker signing, he can play accross all 3 forward positions and can do so equally well. We may see another striker arrive if Jota was to leave but I would imagine that would be back up striker signing and not at the costs of players like Alvarez, Ekitike or Sesko. Would be glad to be proven wrong but I just don’t see that level of financial outlay happening.

Looking at Wirtz stats this season he’s played CF once, false 9 four times and an attacking mid (10) 40 times.
One of the reasons apparently he favours us is he wasn’t impressed with Kompanys pan and tactical use of him.
I’m just putting 2 and 2 together here but do we think he’s going to leave Germany to play an unfamiliar position or we’re going to outlay that kind of money to try him as a CF.
For me I honestly believe he’s Coming as a 10 and Slot even hinted Szob will be used more as an 8 on Monday night.
We know Wirtz can do a job as a false 9 but we also know he’s a world class no 10. Why cut our nose off to spite our face.

Good research, JK. And I agree with your conclusion. Leaves us still needing a striker. Price of a ticket on the Kop, next season, will probably be 500 quid!

Sales of players will surely soften the blow of our new signings

Morton/ 10m
Bajetic/ 25m
And possibly a lot more fringe players and maybe even Jota/ 40m
. obviously I'm guessing what these players will fetch but surely I'm not that far off in valuation.

Jota would not go for 40m in my opinion. that's too much. 30m I'd say but Elliott would demand 40m for sure or more.
Also always a chance Diaz goes too and that would also be decent money like 60m+.
