Just wanted to say something slightly off "all LFC" I am devastated to hear the news about Hulk Hogans death . I was born in 1979 and became a Liverpool fan probably at the age of 5/ 6. Loved match of the day and me trying to replicate the likes of Barnes and McMahon on the play ground etc. then the devastation of Hillsborough hit and I remember clearly the mental affect it had on me at the age of 10 and thinking, would I even like football anymore?

I then found WWF wrestling and in particular Hulk Hogan himself. Complete change to football but I loved it! The Royal Rumbles, the tag team competitions, the sounds, the characters and the colours.
I can honestly say without feeling embarrassed, that this was the fest thing ever to watch.

It does, in my opinion though have an expiry date and the mid nineties was in full throttle and I was 13 years old. That's when WWF had to go and LFC became my true concentration again, and now all my household of 5 are all massive Kopites.

RIP Hulk Hogan and thank you for assisting me through some real bad moments! YNWA ?.

I always felt like wrestling was one big giant pantomime where the result was a foregone conclusion.
Very similar to watching man Utd last season.

I used to love wrestling too, but as a 90s child the attitude era was my generation…as a kid I generally believed it was real ? Though at that point hogan joined WCW and formed the NWO (new world order) who were a ruthless faction, and then hogan did join wwe again and faced The Rock in an epic wrestle mania, which you can watch on YouTube if you want to honour a wrestling great, and bask a little in nostalgia.

His recent adoration of the mango Mussolini makes me not give a toss about his passing. Sorry if that's heartless.

He was a racist, compulsive liar but damn could the guy work a crowd.

He was an absolutely horrible bloke, a. Pure racist good riddance from me.

I find it a bit hard to celebrate the life of a man who was a raging bigot, who served as the flagbearer, literally, of 'american values' at the height of reaganism and has continued celebrating the ugliest aspects of that persona in his own life (including declaring that his daughter would never marry a 'n*****') at the height of trumpian neo-fascism.

Yep, Hogan was like a sports version of Trump outside the ring. Tangerine Palpatine Mk II.

Also a Union buster who screwed over the other wrestlers to line his own pockets.
Proper showman but terrible human.

I didn’t know about all his racism…. I must admit I lost respect for him when he labelled Trump as his hero…. I guess I don’t know about his out ring antics and only know him as his wrestling persona….
