The first interview after the Bournemouth game was pretty interesting and concerning. Carra raised a legit point of the team going gung ho and caught/ exposed easily on the counter.
It was laughed off and Slot especially dismissed it as he'd rather see entertaining football like this than worry too much about being safe. Which was interesting coming from the previous season of let's always try and have control within a game.
I think we will truly see his coaching abilities now to get a better judgement of the kind of coach he is. So far he has shown he has no real answers to a low block, which a lot of teams will play against us.
His substitutions are continually looking bizarre and there appears to be a lack of adaptability to the formation. Let's see what Arne Slot is really about as a manager.

The irony is that we’re not playing entertaining football with the ball and it’s not entertaining watching teams flood us on the counter as we defend lol.

Has any coach ever had any real answers to a low block?
I can’t think of a team that has consistently broke down a low block. You need a mistake, a bit of brilliance or a bit of luck. Even then if the low block is done well it’s very hard for any team to break down.
I think we all just need to take a breath and stop trying to forensically tear apart everyone from the players, to the manager to the tea lady.
They’re not trying lose games, there are some issues that need sorting but the fans turning on everyone is not going to help.
I maintain we have the best team man for man in the league. That doesn’t mean that we will win every game and we will have some bad spells but we’ll be there or thereabouts come the end of the season.

I had posted last week about same, this season is the real test of Arne Slot rather than the players. Last season was lucky as both Man City and Arsenal has slip ups and injuries. Let’s see if he can prove us all wrong.

Robbo - I think it depends on what you mean by breaking down a low block. Even when Klopp's best teams were being criticized for not being able to do that, they were absolutely peppering the opponents goal and in some games were just not getting the lucky bounce or rub of the green.

Not more of this we won the league because of luck and other sides dropping the ball nonsense. so we won one with Jürgen which doesn't count because it was COVID and another which doesn't really count cuz it wasn't slot's side and the other teams had a mare.

Playing on-form midfielder szoboslai as right back, putting your best forward Ekitike for past 5 games til suspension on bench. Chiesa on form not rewarded.
Salah who is neither helping out in defence or contributing going forward is not taken off.
Isak half fit put onfield while wirtz who cost just as much is on bench.
Bizarre decisions.

Its amazing what one bad week results wise can do. Times like this is when we really need to get behind the team and not let our players walk alone. Performances have been dire from week 1 but results favoured us. One week of bad results doesn't equal a poor team or manager.
Let's not forget these are human beings still in a cycle of grief. We simply have to get behind them this season. Jots only passed on a mere few months ago. For all of you who have experienced grief of someone who was close to you, surely you can imagine not only the grief of that but the constant scrutiny from the media about performances.
Relax.

Redscarefarce - I think Slot may need a dose of that advice. He seems to be the one panicking :p
Has there ever been a defending champion finish a game with two defenders on the pitch? That feels like something Man United would do lol.

Slot is overdoing things and that is making matters worse. Sometimes, just do the basics first, get a foothold in games esp. defensively (cos clean sheets are becoming a rarity) and go from there, like we did in some quarters vs Arsenal.
