I don't get the salah criticism now. Blame someonelse until it sticks. Salah has had many games like that. He has 4 or 5 really terrible games a season but his consistency has always let him of or distracted fans from how bad he is in random games. He got in a few times, was selfish and missed. I mean salah has plenty of those moments but now it's new?
My only concern with salah is his personality or ego as slot eluded to in a past interview. It must be very hard to substitute him or even drop him. He was given a massive contract renewal and I never seen him fulfilling it. I see this as his last season with a move abroad. Most likely Saudi.
Bradley has gotten some amount of stick but he's been isolated with maybe sobosli to drop back and help at times.
These are why managers at big clubs get the gig. Managing big egos and their game time.
Maccalisters going well under the radar. Shame the media won't put a light on our midfield. Slots still underestimating the pace and physicality in the PL especially centrally.

I think the thing with salah was, over a season, he’s always produced very good numbers that have helped us achieve our targets (on the whole), and this notion couldn’t be aimed at anyone else in the team since we had mane, even firmino as good as he was, only once or twice produced the numbers we expected from him over a season. Salah has always been consistent with that at least despite poor performances that have been growing more frequent the older he has gotten, which to be fair, it to be expected by most athletes. The issue is now, the performances are more of a detriment than they have ever been and he isn’t producing any G/ A to cover for that fact. On the flip side, I’ve never understood why his actual footballing abilities have been underrated by certain fans and especially rival fans, as if he was a fluke and didn’t have a ballers ability, this was nonsense to me.

I do believe he is hurting us more than he’s aiding us now, this began shortly after he signed the contract last season which coincided with our poor end to the season and has continued into this season. It just shows how important he has been to us and how much we have relied on him offensively. I wonder if there is something in his contract that dictates things like game time and substitutions etc, I wouldn’t be surprised with the stipulations agents can put in contracts nowadays.

In terms of the media highlighting the problem, I think they have, and I do think our midfield has been criticised, carragher recently said it best for me (this was before the Chelsea game), I too thought what slot said to carra in an interview earlier in the season was damning, it suggested slot was going to be stubborn and not tactically prepare for games depending on the opponent. I’ve always thought the very top managers didn’t just stick to a plan A, they were able to adapt systems depending on the competition, opponents etc. let’s see how the season plays out after the international break, which for the first time in a long time, I think we’ve needed to be able to reset a bit. My worry is, I can’t see how that reset actually occurs even though some issues and solutions to those issues can be seen as quite obvious.

Is mac allister going under the radar? I'm pretty sure every mention of him on here the last week has been that he shouldn't start.

I also don't at all think Salah's poor form is just business as usual like you say. Salah can play badly for 89 minutes and then have a moment of magic or 2 the remaining 2 minutes, letting one fly into the top corner after a dribble or make an outrageous outside of the boot assist to play someone in, we've seen it time and time again, even last year. We almost never see him misplace basically every pass or make the wrong decision for 90 minutes, I can count on one hand the number of times he's done that his whole Liverpool career. I don't think it will continue for long though, he's too good and too intelligent a player.

Batman, Salah has been lousy in pretty much every game this season, and he was lousy towards the end of last season. Any other player would be benched. I also think this will be his last season. He has been fantastic for us, but his best days have gone.
I posted yesterday that Bradley isn't has good as folk made out last season. He is still young, so hopefully he will improve as season goes on.
I, like most people, think Mac Allister needs taking out of the side. This is Slot's first test as a manager for us. I'm confident he will sort things out.

PB, Im not letting Macca get away with a damn thing, I can tell you that cos I've been saying that he needs to be take out of a team to go get himself fit first. As for Salah, I can see what you and other guys are saying however, there is only so long we can cover for him. Also, he doesn't seem to trust himself nor what he sees. Vs Chelsea, Wirtz put him thru on goal with that sublime flick and rather than chop Cucurella onto his left foot and bang it in, he hurries and shoot well wide with his right foot, something I had never seen him do. That's a guy who is unsure of himself and who's confidence is shot to bits. Again there is only so long he can be covered for.

Also, this is compounded cos the other forwards like Gakpo or Isak who is still getting up to speed, things aren't working out for them either whereas last season when Salah went off the boil, Diaz, Gakpo and even Szobo, were contributing as well. It is what it is.

You ready for this one? I think we missing Nunez, he was great at pressing, also I’m not going to blame players even tho a few have been cack. If you look at Curtis every was moaning to get rid of him as he dawdled on the ball and was to slow yet this season he seems faster than everyone has he upped his game or have we slowed right down? I love Curtis but sadly I think it’s the latter.

Nice one, scouse John, Nunez, made me chuckle.

06 Oct 2025 14:21:56
I wasn't ready for that one Scouse John! ??.

06 Oct 2025 14:32:57
Scouse John April first is months away mate. You’ve gone early.

Also I hope Macca doesn’t drop his head when he finds out internet fans aren’t letting him get away with a damn thing.

Nunez couldn’t have pressed that much from the bench.

06 Oct 2025 16:28:16
Men, @Scouse. You went there.

06 Oct 2025 18:08:44
Ship Isak off to the reserves and start a campaign to bring back Nunez ? Ekitike needs a stern talking with too.

?? I genuinely believe that we miss his pressing maybe not his shot conversion.
