Falling down is hardly thuggery. Both teams are doing it I would say Chelsea much more so. Some good football at times ruined by the modern day player being a total pansy and a cheat rubber stamped by refs and pundits alike. Together they have made football a much harder watch and poorer sport for it.

I'm not sure they will be, let everyone talk them up. But if city are around the 7-9 point mark after Christmas I'd fancy them to reel them in. I think a true shoe in for the title would have seen that has a huge opportunity today to really lay a glove.

It was a good result for the chasing teams, especially City. I didn’t watch it but it’s no surprise if the football wasn’t great.
I don’t know if it’s a levelling up or levelling down going on but other than Arsenal the other top six teams have only shown flashes of quality, or a few back to back good quality games. It’s very much like last season in that respect.
Hopefully Sunderland try to play midweek, that’ll make for a better game.

The amount of going down holding your face when nothing wrong with the player would do your head in. Lfc players do it's well, mac in particular.
The game today between arsenal an chelsea would turn u off football with the amount of faking that going on.
I really don't know why authorities don't stamp it out now they have var and I really can't understand why pundits don't want to call it out either.
{Ed025's Note - it should all be called out digger...even if its with retrospective punishments mate, a panel could sit after the games and scrutinize the incidents and dish out bans, fines and suspensions depending on the severity, its making a mockery of the game and it needs addressing..

Exactly ed25. If it's a yellow card to hop the ball in bad humour which is really irrelevant, why isn't it a red card when u hold your face after somebodies hand brushes against it when clearly there nothing wrong with u, trying to cheat to get somebody sent off? It would be eradicated v quickly.

But that's where var should come in ed25, I understand it difficult for refs to know the difference on the pitch especially when players so good at it. No excuse for var not spotting it.

Digger, had the same convo w a mate today about the refs "monday morning quarterbacking" their peers' weekend decision making wrt yellow/ reds etc and issuing retroactive bans for feigning injuries, no matter the severity. One match ban first offense, then 2, etc.
Also holding a diff body part than then one that was touched automatic ban.

I went to my granddaughter’s school concert last week and the 5 and 6 years olds were singing Deck the Halls and outrageously singing that they were going to ‘don (their) gay apparel’. You know what? Not one of the adults rushed to be politically correct - instead people enjoyed the concert for what it was.
Nice to see that sometimes the world doesn’t leap to an erroneous judgemental conclusion. I assume that Beg Tets is supposed to be spoken with a Scottish accent? I hope so I do like a bit of ‘end of the pier’ humour.
