I have to say that after the 1-4 loss in Europe I joined the slot out brigade.
To be fair he has stopped the rot and we are now in the top four and although performances have not been anywhere near the swhashbuckling standards of klopps best. I'm willing to get behind the manager and team.
Let's see where this takes us at the end of the season.
I think people are very entitled to bitch and moan while results are poor but while we are winning I think it's fair to support the team and hope for improvements as our confidence returns. Arsenal are hardly tearing it up with style but I can't imagine that too many of their fans are complaining.
Looking forward to a result against Leeds on new year's day.

Redman, I too thought that would be his last game - we were on a death spiral. But the club held firm, and results are now better.
Credit to the club. I still think in most post Salah games we have been improving, but for in most cases Konate losing concentration and letting back in our opponents.

With respect I think you are deluded if you think a win or not getting beat is an upturn in fortune. We are miles away from being good again. I hate to say it but we are poor, much better than we have been, but poor, unfit, nowhere near a good standard.
We play Arsenal soon! Get a result there and I will change my view.

I think 7 games unbeaten is a pretty good turn of fortune. There's bound to be bumps and we will lose again, but to not to have the slightest bit of optimism is just strange. We're certainly not the finished product and no one has said that's the case.
Nevermind the fact we've already beaten Arsenal, huh Chrisy?

Interesting points made guys, my 2p worth….
When we got Klopp I thought the club were building a brand, brand of football that was going to be the way even after JK, example being Barcelona- they have a brand of football, win or lose their fans expect that brand or style of football, nothing less.
The above is what I mean re our brand or style, the TV loved us, I’m sure commercial activity increased, yes we won trophies etc, but I believe our style was overall exciting and generally great stuff.
Under Slot it appears we have to stepped away from the brand of football that was before, I understand tweets had been made last season, but the style is not good, is it a temporary thing? Time will show the answer.

I supported the team when we were loosing and I’m supporting the team when we are winning. I have however lost all faith in Slot and firmly believe he is taking the club backwards. And that is my god given right as someone who spends the amount of time following the team as I do.
End of the day football is about entertainment, community and some sort of feeling of togetherness. Those elements are severely lacking in the current state of the club in my humble opinion.

Red mob . when you say we're not the finished article n no-one has said that's the case , you do know 6 months ago we won the league with 4 or 5 games to spare, so id say we were 90% the finished article until the manager in his wisdom decided to play this way .
now we're celebrating not losing in 7 games and cheering because we beat Arsenal, In the same time we were 5pts ahead of them now 10 pts behind.

Strom - we were 90% there and then sh*t happened. You're absolutely correct, Slot should never have decided to let Trent or Diaz leave, let Robertson's age catch up to him. Furthermore, his decisions that Salah should become a shadow of his former self and stop scoring/ assisting, and Konate to turn into a waste of a defender are also ludicrous.
If you can't be happy that we haven't lost in 7 then you can't be helped. I was also merely pointing out the fact that we already beat Arsenal bc that was the measuring stick being used to assess the team. Again, seems you'd rather we lose so you can keep banging on the Slot out drum rather than celebrate a team turning it's form around.

Red mob, if you happy that we've gone from champions to scrambling for 4th after an easy run of games lately then im made up for you. as for trent n diaz leaving that's not down to Slot, that's bad management from the higher ups but what is down to him is the style of play, dropping players like Ekitike when he was on fire .

Simply, why can we not be happy with the good results so far while at the same time being very concerned with the pathetic performances that the team has been churning out over the past 2 months with NO end in sight?
Or are we saying as long as we win, nothing else should matter and those who are calling out the facts respectfully (that no one disputes, btw) re: our perfs. or outright want the manager out are suddenly irrational people who are being negative and whiny?
For me, the manager is underachieving with this team cos we can do more and play better and this is where I agree with @Chrisymate (apart from calling others deluded) . You can't excuse the dire perfs. just cos you win cos what will you do when you stop winning and the perfs. don't improve? What do you have left to hang your hat on?

Strom - feel free to give your head a wobble as well if you think I'm happy about going from Champs to 4th. What I am happy about is turning the results around, which is progress. I've seen flashes of what the team could be and for RIGHT NOW, that's enough for me. Style of play is a personal preference - I hate the style of teams that sit back and counter but if LFC turns to that style, I'll be there every game supporting them and I'm not going to be calling for the coach to be sacked. Others hate tiki taka. Who cares? Do you support LFC or do you support a style?
I'm not saying I agree with all his decisions. There's not a coach, past or present, that has never made poor decisions. When you have a shiny new toy that you just broke the transfer record for, you want to see what he can do (rightly or wrongly) . If he had come on and scored a bunch of goals, we would be praising Slot. Hindsight is always 20/ 20.
Coaches always have their favorites. I don't fully understand why Endo doesn't play more, but it's not unexpected given last season. As for Chiesa, he can be clutch coming off the bench but maybe isn't cut out to be a starter. (Origi anyone)? I love his effort and would like to see him given more game time but if that happens and Chiesa does F all on the pitch, will you be laying this failure at Slot's feet as well?
Yes Oli, I am more interested in the results right now given our string of losses. We needed to right the ship. Grinding out results is something we can build confidence on. I've yet to say I'm pleased with the overall performances but please let me know if you find out where I've written that. What I did say is I'm pleased with the fact we've gone 7 unbeaten and anyone who can't be happy about that (the results) cannot be helped. We have a long way to go and have so much to improve upon, but it's hard to do anything when you're losing. Grind out some results and build on them.
Yes, the TEAM (including Slot) are underachieving but will that still be the case come the end of the season. time will tell. let's not pretend that the players are blameless - they have all massively underperformed on an individual level with the exception of Dom - and I know you're going to say Slot is responsible for the setup, tactics, etc. and I cannot refute this, but the players still need to put in a shift; how many chances have been created with no end product? How many brain farts has the backline had (Konate being responsible for most)? How many wayward passes have there been? How many players have just given up on getting back? Slot can't play the game for them. Again, I'm not absolving Slot of any blame but these are simple things the players have been incapable of doing regardless of tactics.
If there is no improvement or we miss out on top 4, then I will be all for sacking Slot. But until then, I will continue giving him the benefit of the doubt. Slot is one of us until he is not.
