Why do i feel underwhelmed by this Liverpool run, eleven games unbeaten doesn't feel like it. Last night's game felt like we stumbled to a 4-1 win. Every game feels like hard work and a struggle to get control. Any team who plays us with pace and speed out wide when attacking, gives me male Menopausal sweats. As for my erectile dysfunction, wifey is starting to get concerned and has even mentioned a little blue pill.
But watching Liverpool this season, doesn't get me excited or up for anything. At the end of games win lose or draw I'm just worn down and tired at the final whistle, by the slow build up and side and backwards passing. At least wirtz and ekitike brought directness
and speed to the attack when coming on.

I know the undefeated run coincided with Salah being out of the side but for me there's no way were a more dangerous side without Mo. I understand the whole tracking back part of the argument, i actually agree with it you can't have someone not putting it in down that side.
Leaves the RB with far too much on his plate. But surely a meeting in the middle of him giving it everything and getting up and down for 60-70 mins before coming off if exhausted if he has to for Chiesa is the best way forward.

Because it's boring.

Florian - well that would depend on Mo wouldn't it? It sounds good in theory but I don't think we'll be getting that from Mo.
In any case, it'd be nice to have him back when he is back and I hope he integrates back into the team and adds something.

Mo playing at 100% = deadly.
Mo coasting through the game = passenger.
That's how I see it I'm afraid. Until he gets his head right he's not worth his place in the team.

Agreed Ron. Hopefully come Feb or a new manager he can be used more like he was last year and we will again see the world beater I believe he is still capable of being.
I just can't see it though with how we set up currently.

We are poorly coached, unfit and half interested.
This team is going through the motions.
Slot doesn't look like he wants to be there.

FPF, didn't you say we were building a dynasty at the beginning of the season? After Slot won the League in his first season and then we added some big names in the summer window? Apologies if it wasn't you but I think it was.
Getting rid of Slot, appointing an interim and then possibly Alonso in the summer is not my idea of building a dynasty.
It's more like the Man United way of doing things.

Used more like he was last year by Slot?

@Finglasred, you are underwhelmed because you simply refuse to ignore, deny nor gloss over the shambles you are being served by this manager since the start of the season.
And the whole "Oh, Mo is not doing this/ that" stuff is just hogwash, IMO and the way we are playing since he went to AFCON proves it. The guy was playing, we were crap. He wasn't playing and got benched, we were crap. Man's not even on the continent let alone on Merseyside, and we are STILL crap. Same goes for Gakpo, btw.
As @Pelican said, it's the manager, people. Nothing else to see here.
13 Jan 2026 12:38:33
OliRed, good to see you are over it and still at peace with Slot being here 'til next season, at least.
Can I ask, though: how is it all on the manager when you think at least two of the players are crap?

Nail on the head Pelican.

Yes Musiala, exactly like last season under Slot, which for some reason he changed, despite Salah having one his best ever seasons. Both are at his door. Slot gets credit for the title, and he'll get criticised for making us regress. It's all perfectly logical.
