It would cost a lot less than that to get rid of Slot, Oli. What has he got left on his contract, a little over a year? Doubt he's on Jurgen levels of money, so, in the grand scheme of things, it wouldn't cost huge sums of money to pay him off.
Don't think it's money stopping them doing it, they just must think he's the best option till May.
