Cafu, I completely disagree. Everyone criticised players last year for having their future known but not announced it till the end of the season and leaving fans in the dark.

Dalglish will always be at the pinnacle.
Salah is undoubtedly a great of the club. He should leave how he wants to leave and should choose his next destination.

Why wait until the end of the season? I think we all already knew that he wouldn't be here next season, so why not make it official and stop all of the rumours? Now he can enjoy a long goodbye like Jurgen did. It might even give the crowd that little extra to sing about, which in turn might take the players up a notch.
Who knows, it might be that little thing that gets us a CL place for next season.

No, you don't beat an already dead season out of breath season by announcing you will leave.
If he said it's my last season and my final wish is no.7 and rallied everyone with a battle cry to give it all one more time for his sakes I would be the first rallying him here, but no, every time he just downs his tools and along with it goes all our morale.
So many such characters in this team Vvd, Macca. Absolutely no fight when everything goes down.
Hope Vvd also leaves and Macca and we can start afresh from zero with whole new team under Alonso.

I think he was 100% correct to announce it, Cafu. Once the decision was made, why not? Most people speculated about it one way or the other. It's better than Trent's announcement last season, that's for sure.
