And I’m sorry but if Alonso failed with Madrid's players what chance has he got with these? Jones thinks the whole thing's a laugh; it's like he won a competition to be there and half of them aren’t arsed.
Take the red tinted glasses off, guys. Gerrard and Alonso are not the answer with these clown type personalities on the squad. Remember prime Sakho getting binned to the U21s by Klopp?
04 Apr 2026 23:27:01
Sakho was never prime! Alonso wasn't given long enough at Madrid because Perez is a clown and wants instant results with his team of spoilt brats. It's worked in our favour because any football is better than the dross we are being served now.

Clowns' personalities? The same clowns you thought were phenomenal last season under Klopp's tactics. The same clowns whose mentality, fitness and work rate was never once questioned under Klopp? Think about that for a minute and you'll realise it's not the players' fault they've lost the drive, they're fed up with playing for a fool who has no idea what he's doing, it's been clear as day for months now.
You can't compare the situation at Madrid to Liverpool.
The Bernabeu is full of absolute divas who aren't willing to lift a single one of their manicured fingernails if it's not for the sake of themselves. Xabi came in and tried to coach which was never going to work because that pack of handbags need a PR team, not a manager.
Anfield is not full of divas, the motivation hasn't been lost because of attitude problems, it's because of the months of frustration playing with a fraud at the helm.

Szoboszlai looking for support and getting pissed off with the fans at the end of the game really pissed me off.
Get your heads out of your arses and put in a shift.
People paying hard earned cash to watch millionaires not turn up has run its course for me.
Also can't even speak about the non-entities that are Hughes, Edwards & Slot.
Club is rotting all the way through at the moment.
05 Apr 2026 00:01:35
I agree, Cantre. Who the hell does he think he is? He can go as well, can't stand these lot, me.
05 Apr 2026 00:01:55
Cantremember, In fairness to Szoboszlai, he's been putting in an unbelievable shift all season long. He deserves nothing but respect and has every right to be frustrated. He's head and shoulders above the rest and I really won't be surprised if he looks for a move, especially if Slot does stay.
05 Apr 2026 00:42:48
Open your eyes, Chewy. Half the players have had a bad attitude since Klopp left. Jones being one of the big culprits, always messing around. He thinks he's better than he is. I don't see Alonso getting a tune out of these lot. Macalister as well, he's given up, there's a few.
05 Apr 2026 00:58:58
The issue is Slot, not the players. If you think otherwise and have evidence, please counter the points I made directly.
05 Apr 2026 06:11:07
Szoboszlai needs to literally pull up his socks and stop prancing about like he's prime Andrea Pirlo. A haircut wouldn't go amiss either.
05 Apr 2026 07:53:10
Chewy, I agree with you, the main issue is Slot, but I also believe the players are very much part of the problem.
Regardless of their thoughts on him, they should be playing for the badge and fans.
05 Apr 2026 08:31:16
But you have a manager that benches players for not sticking to his tactics. The players have been conditioned to follow suit or they're out.
05 Apr 2026 08:31:31
Szoboszlai is the one player that has bothered this season!
But, the problem is his hair?!
05 Apr 2026 07:26:11
Oh Queen shut up, the manager breeds confidence and instils it and he's done the opposite. Then picking on Jones because he's likely questioned the tactics of that idiot is even more damning. I wouldn't want to play for him if the club tried to sell me too.
Then comparing Alonso's "failed" Madrid despite him having an impressive win ratio is also stupid. I could give you loads of Madrid managers who have good reputations and haven't done well. Rafa for one.
05 Apr 2026 08:35:33
Xabi had a 71% win rate at Madrid.......
05 Apr 2026 14:37:28
JK, if the players are very much part of the problem then how come none of it was spotted last season using Klopp's tactics? Or the previous season under Klopp? We're talking about almost the exact same group of players here bar a few additions this season, and you'll note the new additions are not the ones who look the most disheartened. It's those who've been here longer, the ones who've had more time to witness the unravelling of Slot, those who know him better and witnessed his failures as he began to implement his own tactics.
If there were individual attitude problems, issues with work rate, passion or fitness, they would have been spotted in the years previous, but the question was never raised, not once. All the evidence points to the fact that the players are simply fed up playing for an imposter.

Sobz has put a shift in all season.
