Hi Ed001. You replied to a post yesterday saying that Slot has fallen out with a lot of the senior players. Can you give any more on who and why please?

{Ed001's Note - it is pretty obvious isn't it? Salah being the main one. And why? Because Slot has let standards slip and no one is working hard any more. Players like Salah and Robertson, who have pride in their work, don't enjoy this.}

Pretty clear, when both decided to leave, that Slot would be likely staying. Time for Anfield to get involved, win, lose or draw, and show their discontent towards Slot. Only way the board will listen.

Salah obviously and I figured Robertson. Just wondered if it's a more widespread thing. I would have thought the basics for anything would be hard work and any coach should set the standards. Thanks Ed001

{Ed001's Note - Szobo, Jones and a few others. Don't worry though, Mac Allister and Konate are happy, those two couldn't give a shit about how bad we are. Konate should have been f'ed off last summer, all this sympathy over his dad is all well and good, but his performances are crap and never improved because he doesn't give a toss. He only cares about his stupid idiotic clothing on international break.}

Konate is a waste of space and Mac Allister likewise. Rarely, a game goes by when Konate doesn't make a basic mistake leading to a goal. There seems to be a lack of effort all round, which may reflect the players' dissatisfaction, and I don't see how that changes without changes above.

Add to that the obvious imbalances in the squad, it looks grim for next season. I hope I'm wrong but it's worrying how far we've dropped off. Eleven league defeats, ffs.

Indeed. The fact that Jones, a guy that bleeds the red of Liverpool (the city and the club) wants to go and Robbo wanted to go to Spurs of all places, is all people need to know.

Salah was forced out, imo, and Ali potentially is next, should the Juve rumours be true. So the club is gonna get rid of all these guys just to keep Slot, really?

I'm with Babbity.

The crowd at Anfield need to get involved. These clowns are gonna destroy all the club. Klopp and our Klopp era players (past and present) have shed blood, sweat and tears to build over the years. Rise up!!

Brummyred and Oli, regarding the crowd getting involved, it's highly unlikely to happen. If CL were impossible, there may have been a slight chance. Two games to go. I can see there being ticket protests, again, the weekend, then the last game will be all about Salah and Robbo.

You are right that supporters revolting would bring about what most of us want, but, like I say, I'm pretty sure it won't happen.

Upamecano being favored over Konate for France says it all for me. I like the lad as a person but his progress with LIV is a regress. ?

Rome, but then are the fans just accepting mediocrity and happy to get a top 4/5 finish after winning the title and spending so much money?
For me personally im disgusted with our performances and league position. I dont buy the 'no one's entitled to win the league' blurb that gets posted on here all the time. We are reigning champions, we spent vast sum of money in the summer, almost every pundit in the various polls had Liverpool to retain the title including people like Neville and Keane. And so did I, what we've witnessed is a shambolic title defense, worse than Leicester because they didnt have the squad and investment we did.
Accepting 4/5 to me seems like the fan base have reverted back to the Liverpool of the 90's, it's just nice to be relevant and have a good cup run, its not the attitude of winning supporters.

Utd supporters during Fergies reign didnt have this defeatist attitude, neither do City's now and we didnt during the Klopp revolution. But it seems that's been completely eroded and not taking part seems good enough.
I really can understand posters saying they may not bother watching some matches next season as the football is so very bad with zero improvement. Then we get it was worse under Roy or Roger's, they didnt have these players and this huge investment.
* Has any player progressed this season under our Coach?
* Have any players regressed this season under our coach?
Sorry all for the long post but its soul destroying this season to be a Liverpool fan, the collapse is unprecedented.

I agree with all this. Man Utd 3 Liverpool 2 on paper screams Premier League classic. Will anyone in years to come remember this game? Look at the amount of possession we had yesterday. They gave it to us because they knew we wouldn't do anything with it.

I don't want this to come across as whining that we didn't win. I honestly
don't care as long as the game was entertaining and the players leave everything on the pitch. I hate that we're going to get Champions League because it's rewarding insipid football.

Get rid of Mac Allister and Gravenberch, they are awful or they just don't know what they are meant to do.

We need new manager and some hard grafters. These skinny players of ours are getting pushed around.
Stop Play Rio on the right. Losing that ball granted the goal to Man Utd. Play him more on the left, else another player will lose his confidence.

04 May 2026 10:46:55
It's so frustrating to watch us now. Yet again, abysmal yesterday. Awful first half. Get back level in the second, and then he reverts the team to holding out again, when it's obvious to a blind man that we are not set up, by him, to be able to do that.
And that is how it's been for so much of this season.

He should have been sacked months ago.
So much wrong at the moment through the club.
Hughes & Edwards are only intent on self-protection.
They are giving Gravy a massive contract. Negotiations with Konate, when he should have been jettisoned last year.

04 May 2026 10:58:14
Rio came alive on the left.

If we keep out truly great no1...

Ali.
Kayode - Vvd - Jacquet - Kerkez.
Sadiki or Grav.
Szobo - Wirtz.
Diomande - Isak/Hugo - Rio.

Rotations - M. Mane, Stephenson, Frimpong, Leoni, Tsimi, Jaros, Curtis, Beck, Trey, McConnell.

Basically, trust in youth but get a CDM, RB and RW.

04 May 2026 10:58:58
Kayode, Diomande, Sadiki, Gomes are grafters.

04 May 2026 10:31:41
I read Salah said something in one of his interviews about the importance of the club finding someone else to set the standards, once he's left. It screams of a very worrying trend and backs up exactly what ed1 has said here. The standards have clearly gone
