Hypothetically and going off some rumours in terms of ins and outs, where do we finish if we go into next season looking like?

A lot of senior players departing and looks light on goals given Ekitike injury and Isak fitness issues, but some very good, young and versatile players in the door.
It can't remember the last time it was so hard to predict how we'll go into the next season.

About the same position as this season, Thiago, if we're still going to persist with Konate as a starting CH.
If he stays / signs a new contract, then he's back up & needs to really earn his spot.

I don't think much better, still has issues.
Wirtz should be central, and Gravenberch should start. I know he's not been great this season, but there's still some player in there.
The problem is, I've no idea how to get them all in that's suited to them all unless we change formation.
I'd still have Bradley over Gray, certainly in RB, assuming he comes back from his injury.

Throw Sangarre in midfield too... Keeper needs replacing, he's poor. Wirtz is wasted from left.

I don't think the personnel matters anywhere near as much as adopting a tactical approach that suits the players at our disposal and the league we are in. Play an efficient high press, and on the front foot, with a stable base in midfield, and Konate looks like a world beater, like when we beat Madrid.
Play boring, possession-based, non-creative footy with no midfield base, and we'll get picked off like we have been all season regardless of who's on the team sheet.

Gray is not a great RB. And might be more expensive than he is worth.
If Geertruida is available for cheap fee, then that looks a good option. I heard 17m touted.
I think bringing Diomande and Toure is attractive to me. A lot of money, but would really get our wings bouncing.
Keep Jones and Allisson. Park goalie for the year if you can. If Alisson must go, Diego Costa looks seems to be raved about by Portugal fans.
Sign Jones to new contract.
We need to get the best priced DM we can. Sangare looks decent to me, but always hard to tell without watching, but I'll go him.
Bring Tsimikas back.
And of course a new manager whose target is to score goals.

Davey, liked the post. All good points made. I've got a piece of advice you could also add to your piece.
It was fitness that would count in the end. So we kept at 100% at all times, and it paid us.

WDW, no, not at all.
I just picked up on the fact that the OP had him in a starting eleven that, in my opinion, he should be nowhere near moving forward.
The shocking form & performances have been a collective from Slot and his staff down to all the players, but Konate has been consistently the worst of the worst.

Agree on many of your points, Davey. Also, thank heavens I'm not the only one who doesn't rate Gray. I was feeling all alone for a moment there, man.
