Well, with Bournemouth just 1 point behind I know hold very little hope that we’ll beat Brentford. There must be one performance left in this team. Sad thing is though we don’t deserve to be in CL.

It's funny, if Bournemouth finish 5th people will say they deserve it but if Liverpool finish 5th people will say we don't deserve it. The table doesn't lie. If we finish 5th then that's where we deserve to finish.

@Arnie, it's the quality of football though, as I'm sure you are aware. We have been garbage all season and are hanging onto 5th by the skin of our teeth. Imagine if we had a coach who had used a plan to get the best out of a very talented squad and concentrated on winning rather than fixating on PSG, low blocks and making pitiful excuses for mediocrity.

Villa look like they can win matches we don't. We're lightweight and weak in midfield, our defence is all over the place and we don't look like scoring unless the opposition gift us a goal.
Brentford have beaten us once already and they've got the measure of Slot. If we make the champions league it'll be in limp home mode in 5th. £450m for no trophies and 5th place. Sorry but that's failure.

When we win on Sunday we'll have the same wins as Villa. They will lose. How do Brentford have Slot's number? He's won 2 out of 3 games against them. As for the money, we wouldn't have been able to spend that amount if we hadn't brought in over two hundred million pounds in sales (I assume you agree), so I look at that as 200m odd net that we spent.
About the norm now for a top team in England.
