Hi All,
Seeing Carra update, I think Zabarnyi is an excellent strategy. For me I’d like to see following come in Palestra, Zabarnyi (loan), Wharton, Camara, Sangare, B Toure and Diomande. Not up to date on current values but guessing you're looking around £260-£270million for the lot. With players leaving (I assume from reading posts on here) MacAllister, Endo, Elliott, Bajcetic, Chiesa, Jones, Ramsey, I guess you are looking at potentially recouping around £170million or thereabouts. Strength and bite in the midfield holding 2 with Camara and Sangare with Grav and Wharton being progressive is more appealing than watching MacAllister roll around and Jones holding the ball for 4 hours.
Watching Wirtz play on left for Germany suits his strengths and with Wirtz Sobo and Diomande pressing behind Isak and Ekitike we would hopefully see the style of football we’ve all been hoping for. Also with Wirtz on the inside left Kerkez can play the role best suited to him on the overlap when Wirtz creates the space for him to run into. With B Toure and Rio we have extra pace and skill and the squad looks more rounded. It would be another transitional period but anything is better than last season.
I can see the posts saying we’ve looked at these players previously but what's everyone’s thoughts.

Wirtz should not be playing LW, imo.

Oli, he plays as an inside left 10 for Germany and is brilliant. Played similar for Alonso. If you look at Bournemouth, he only really used one out n out winger in Semenyo.

170 million for them players seems a lot. Ramsey hasn't barely ever played since he joined. Macca looked awful this year. Would you even get 60 for him? Jones has a year left. Endo, Elliot, Stefan and Chiesa, did any of them play 90 minutes this year? Need to get the players out that ain't playing and aren't part of plans going forward.
Sort contracts out, the club is being run poorly by Edwards and Hughes.

Is he really Brilliant in that position for Germany? Think that's a bit of a strong word. For me he offers no more on the left than Harvey Elliott does on the right.

I reckon we'd get £120m max for them players listed to leave.

Bin Wharton and get Alex Scott. Wirtz is not a LW.
All players get a clean slate. Ramsay to kick on under Iraola. That's my bet and hope for him.

Big difference between LW and inside left CAM. Wirtz is not and never will be a winger, but if we play a narrow 3 behind the striker, then, yes, certainly, I think Wirtz could perform well on the left side of that 3. Kerkez might even get the occasional pass when he overlaps. ?

Wharton is a very nice passer and will only get better... If we don't grab him, someone else will and we'll regret, I think.

Wirtz floats all over the place. vs Finland, he operated between the lines off the left mostly, but appeared a lot between the lines off the right as well.
The key for Wirtz is that we play to him and not around him.
He wants and needs the ball at his feet, even if it feels like a waste of time, 5 yard pass. Just get the ball to his feet, move around him and let him connect the dots.
