Apparently Leipzig want €120m for Diomande. He's a great up and coming player but I really hope we don't pay that amount. So many other issues to fix.

I guess it depends whether a transfer fee for him stops us fixing any other issues.
The noises coming out of the media seem to suggest we are trying to do some smart deals, like Zabarnyi on loan (hopefully with an option to buy).
I think Senesi on a free (if he hasn't signed his Spurs contract yet) would be another smart move. We don't want to spend mega bucks on CBs in this window when we have so many promising young players coming in/back - Leoni and Jacquet being hopefully first team ready (with rotation to start off with) and the 17-19 yos that have come in recently - Ndiaye, Adekoya, Ndukwe.
I can see Zabarnyi (with a buy option), VVD, JoGo, Leoni and Senisi forming quite a decent CB rotation in 26-27 and, if VVD doesn't sign an extension, then possibly one other addition in Jan 27 or Summer 27, ably assisted by the recent youth acquisitions, could see us set for a while.
I do see a need for a RB, unless Iraola fancies Ramsay, as Bradley is too brittle and Frimpong is not a defender. Kayode would be a good option with EPL experience and Palestra is an interesting move too.
LB, I would leave as is, with Tsimi coming back in as backup for Kerkez who has grown into his role and will no doubt be even better working with the manager who turned him into a £40m FB.

Senesi on a free and Zabarnyi (loan to buy) basically covers us, as I can see Gomez going.
Leaving Virg, Zabarnyi, Senesi, Jaquet and Leoni cover us at centre halves and stops us lumping massive fees on 2 centre halves.
We need a right back, Palestra looks to be commanding a 45-50 mill euro fee.
Kayode possibly similar, if not more.
We need 2 attackers and 2 midfielders also.

Totally agree, no way we should be paying that kind of money for a teenager.
The money in football has gone insane.
We need players coming to Liverpool who want to be made, not already think that they are made.

With the way transfer fees work, EUR100m over 5 years is only EUR20m per year over the course of a standard contract, if we can negotiate it that way. As far as I know, that's what we've done with Ekitike, Isak and Wirtz, spread out their fees over a period, also why we made a balance sheet profit on Diaz and Nunez last summer, purchases are amortised, sales go full amount on the sheet (got this info from Dave Powell who talks about this stuff on TAW podcast).
