I know a lot of yous on here aren't a fan but I have to say that Harry Kane is a top level player. Top top level. He's the best striker England ever had.

No way, Florian. Over the full lengths of their careers, Kane's just got better and better as a natural 9. Young Rooney was explosive and top drawer. Rooney was finished by 28, as being defined as a top player.

Rooney was a better all round player no doubt, but failed to deliver in the really big games apart from Portugal Euros.
Kane is without doubt the best finisher at that level since Greavsie & turns it on for the big games when we need it.
Great player!
On a side note, Madueke is awful & shouldn't be anywhere near an England team, and not picking Palmer for a squad place is looking a foolish decision.

Who is not a fan of Kane? My only criticism of him is that he isn't very mobile. His finishing and link up play is exceptional and he is and has been one of the best strikers in the world for at least the last 5 years.

Kane's had an outstanding season for club and country, could win Ballon D'Or on top of that. He might not do a lot outside of scoring but his job is to score and he really excelled at that at Spurs, at Bayern and for England. We better hope Isak comes good, but for this season he wasn't a shadow of Kane.

I didn't use to like Kane... seems like since he's gone to Bayern he's improved on his game. He's like dust, he's everywhere... some stamina in that fella... I don't care how piss poor the German league is, he's torn it up over there....

Kane is a brilliant centre forward, proper elite. Liverpool should have went for him when he left Spurs, but some fans don't rate him because he doesn't run around like a headless chicken. He scores goals, tonnes of them, that's the hardest thing to do in football.

Kane's had a phenomenal career and is an exceptional footballer, no doubt about it, but mitigating factors aside, Rooney was something else, an absolute phenom. Kane scored goals, but Rooney was like an unstoppable force, a real power to be reckoned with.
In terms of natural footballing ability, athleticism, pace and power, Rooney absolutely blows Kane out of the water. It's a shame he didn't take care of himself properly. If he was half the professional Kane is, he'd probably be the all-time Premier League goalscorer.

Imagine if Rooney was 5 or 7 years younger... playing alongside or just behind Kane for England. They would have a phenomenal goal scoring partnership between them.
