There's obviously always been a closing ceremony before the final, but has there ever been a half time show during the WC Final?

BBC (and ITV I think) won't be showing it; instead, they'll do extended analytical coverage.

I hate this Americanisation of sports .it was like last time Liverpool were in CL final and you had black eyed peas do a medley of songs just before KO gets those idiots of the pitch and let me hear the roar of you'll never walk alone from the Liverpool faithful.
Everything always has to be bigger and better with American's which just takes away from the spectacle of the show which is the actual football

They have already forced the game into quarters through hydration breaks that aren't even needed at all the games, but still go ahead.
President Trump speaking to Infantino to get a red card deferred so their star striker could play.
Pumped the prices of tickets through the roof for what should be an affordable tournament for all fans.
The halftime show works in American football due to the way it is played, with massive squads and specialist teams for each play.
Players aren't affected by longer breaks.
Football is different, and players will pick up stupid injuries due to muscles cooling down and being expected to play again after half an hour.
Nothing surprises me in this World Cup. Where there is money to be made, they have wrung every last penny out of the fans.

Fox apparently set to make $250m from hydration break advertising.
As for the half-time show, for me, it just goes to show what little duty of care FIFA have for the players. It just increases the risk of the players cooling down too much and not having the chance to fully warm up again before the second half kicks off.

The WC should never be held in The USA and should never include more than 32 teams in the finals. This is the crap that we end up receiving when it comes about. Just horrendous. Talk about Saudi sports washing. Those Yanks and FIFA are worse than anyone.

Having sat through the Switzerland Colombia match, I would have liked the half time show to have lasted the entirety of the game.
