Thanks for the write up and review Ed. I thoroughly agree on Kerkez. Tbh I don't think he has done too badly but he is rash and people only seem to view that. I still think that he is trying too hard to impress and he would be much better if he can just calm down a bit.
He has shown that he is a top PL player so he just needs to regain the confidence that got him there imo.

Love your defense of Kerkez, ed, people talk on here like he's between Moreno and Konchesky in terms of quality. I think he has done two or three questionable things this season so far, but also a lot of very good things that nobody seems to remark upon.

Thanks Ed1 great read, also don't understand Kerkez and Wirtz pelters, Kerkez work rate and attitude is top and other parts of his game will improve as the team system gets better with each game.

I don't have any issues with Kerkez work rate or commitment. My issue with him is that he's erratic, can be quite rash, late to the tackle and loses his man or position far too often. There's a mistake waiting to happen in each and every one of the games he plays. He's just not dependable and at this level that weakness will be picked off by every opposing manager worth his salt.
Of course I say give the man this season back with Iraola but if he cannot prove his worth come next May we require a top level replacement. Having no adequate competition for the LB spot doesn't help the situation either. My take.
