Evening everyone, Richard hughes, alongside Slot may well be on his way out of Liverpool.

05 Jan 2026 22:17:13
Well if that's true Robbo, all is clearly not well just as we thought. Thanks for the update.

05 Jan 2026 22:18:30
Could this change the Semenyo situation or has that ship sailed?

05 Jan 2026 22:45:08
Cheers for the info Robbo. When you say both on the way out do you mean now or in the summer?

05 Jan 2026 22:15:36
I've just seen some stuff online about the both of them at war with each other over nghumoa (spelling) have the leaks started to pave way for an exit? Time will tell. ?.

05 Jan 2026 23:04:32
Ok Robbo more hearsay…. Just adding more tied to the pile.

05 Jan 2026 23:05:40
Reading on a few feeds there's been disagreement between Slot and Hughes over use and promotion of academy players, sale of Diaz, not purchasing a winger amongst other things.

Whilst we need change, and it could be clickbait, I hope we're not descending into chaos.

05 Jan 2026 23:11:56
Fichajes reporting Arne's time is coming to a close this week. Not picked up in uk media or feeds yet, so again likely clickbait.

05 Jan 2026 23:15:20
Or when their respective contracts expire.

Nice prioritisation @Red-Flyer. Head coach and "hire 'em, fire 'em" guy both leave in the middle of a transfer window in the middle of the season and your first thought is Semenyo - he must be some kind of player.

05 Jan 2026 23:40:26
I think they both got to go,

06 Jan 2026 00:00:37
Robbo's accuracy took a hit when he said that Semenyo was signed sealed and delivered. But things change in football.

Thanks for the info as always Robbo.

06 Jan 2026 00:01:40
We're at the halfway point and the season is a disaster, wouldn't be surprised if it was kicking off internally.

06 Jan 2026 00:34:16
Hugo, Fijahes are also reporting that Messi is joining LFC on loan until the summer. They are they worst type of click bait site.

06 Jan 2026 03:49:19
Thanks Robbo.

If I recall correctly, it has been mentioned before that Hughes could leave, so definitely going to watch this situation closely.

I suppose now the question is around the timing of when all of this will happen.

Chelsea and United have played their hands.
LFC, as it stands, will give Slot more time.

Time alone will reveal the outcomes.

This is going to be the most interesting 2nd half of a season in a long time.

05 Jan 2026 23:37:35
WDW, in response to yet another smug, elitist comment from you, it was said recently that Hughes had botched the Semenyo deal. As for being my first thought, it was actually my second comment on the post. I assume that you are able to count better than you are at refraining from being a tool.

06 Jan 2026 01:11:02
A disaster red9nut? Really? Jesus Christ get a grip. Some of our fans are so entitled. We waited 30 years to win the league and we are the current league champions. Things our club have achieved are what 99% of other clubs fans could only dream of.

We're top 4 at the moment, unbeaten for a good few games. If it wasnt for that wobble we had we'd be in and amongst the title contenders still. Honestly some fans need some perspective. This is what a rebuild looks like. YNWA means f all to some.

06 Jan 2026 01:48:56
Thanks for clearing that up d-day. Explains why it's not being picked up much here. Wouldn't mind Messi even at his age though tbf!

06 Jan 2026 01:49:06
@D-day, what have you done ??. If Messi isn't signed up by the end of the week you are going to have go into hiding. ??.

06 Jan 2026 07:34:27
Kopite 86 'disaster' depends on your perspective but I'd imagine the owners will be seriously displeased with the following:
- 21 point swing to Arsenal from same point last year (we were +7pts, we're now -14)
- having splurged huge amounts of money
- title winners looking totally lost on pitch
- exact same goals F and A as Brentford
- zero plan B for centre back crisis

If we were 5pts behind Arsenal I don't think anyone would be suggesting it's a disaster, but at present there are no signs to suggest we won't finish 25+ points behind them.

And imho that definitely would be a disaster.

06 Jan 2026 07:41:48
If we are in or around the top 4 the Slot won't be sacked, not until the summer at least. Clearly its not working out but surely top 4 and CL is the "minimum" for Slot to acieve despite the terrible performances.

06 Jan 2026 08:18:46
Kopite 86, definitely, we were blessed with Klopp and the generational talents of Salah et al and heavy metal football which I loved. Change is often difficult but I am old enough to remember real bad times and not calling for Slot to go.

06 Jan 2026 09:34:44
It's in the context of being league champions mate, don't mean to sound entitled. Maybe disaster is too extreme for some.

The league win was a fantastic achievement and can never be taken away from Slot and his staff. I made sure to absolutely enjoy it and not take it for granted. But major decisions were made in the summer and they've backfired big time, namely the fitness regime and the tactical setup (I think the recruitment was spot on apart from missing Guehi)

06 Jan 2026 10:46:45
Well said, @Kopite. You saved me the keys on my keypad. Fresh air, Num9nut, fresh air.

06 Jan 2026 11:32:58
No need for names mate. also it's too cold for that.

06 Jan 2026 12:18:59
If you spend £400m in a transfer window and break a record not once, but twice, you should be top of the table, not struggling to get a draws against the likes of Leeds United or Fulham and being dry bummed by Forest at home and being beaten by the worst United side in ages at home.

06 Jan 2026 14:27:50
I love the total chaos this site brings, in the past 24 hours I've heard people saying Slot is staying past this season, Slot is Imminently about to be sacked, Slot is 100% leaving in the summer and has been informed, Slot is 3 defeats away from being sacked.

My main takeaway. BELIEVE EVERYTHING.

06 Jan 2026 14:45:10
And if you are three down at half time in the CL final against a very good AC Milan side then you expect it to end up four or five nil, at least.
And and if you lose the first leg of a CL semi three nil away to a Barcelona side featuring Messi and Suarez and are without two of your front three for the second leg then you are left wondering what could have happened in the final against Spurs or Ajax.
