Evening Gents
Liverpool are interested in Nathaniel Brown of Eintracht Frankfurt.
Liverpool are planning life without Andy Robertson.
All I have for now.

Can you see us pay the fee being quoted, Robbo, cus I doubt it. Great player though.
20 Feb 2026 22:33:26
Years left on a contract. Can't see us paying big money for a back up LB.
21 Feb 2026 01:38:42
He's such a great player. I'd be really excited about this.
21 Feb 2026 05:33:32
Robbo, do you know if we will be looking to do anything at right back? I am not 100% convinced by either player we have, Bradley or Frimpong. Bradley seems to have injury issues every season, and Frimpong seems more of a cover player for wing and full back.

Does it really make sense spending that much on somebody who is admittedly a good player, but who would want to start when Kerkez is turning out to be a top-level left back?
21 Feb 2026 07:04:29
Kerkez is a long way off being a top-level left back. He will develop, but we need cover and need options in that position.
21 Feb 2026 08:55:41
I can believe this. Definitely a Hughes/Edwards signing. Let's spend a fortune for a player in a position we are already ok in, while ignoring the elephants in the room.
21 Feb 2026 09:24:44
I cannot believe that. Kerkez is the same age, and while competition is good, you normally don't spend that much on left backs of the same profile and expectations. It is a waste of resources. It would be better to have a more seasoned left back there to rotate.
21 Feb 2026 10:17:03
It's the club's money and the club would be remiss if they didn't actively pursue what they perceive as the right player at the right price.
21 Feb 2026 10:26:00
Owen Beck?
21 Feb 2026 11:24:54
Fair enough, WDW, but I would have thought a backup LB would have been right down the list of priorities to be spending big money on.
21 Feb 2026 11:43:40
Absolutely, we will be looking into a right back, @Grino. I've heard it is going to be a big transfer window regarding incomings, and a few players will also be leaving. Regarding the left back position, we do need a left back.
Robbo, from my understanding, will be leaving; that just leaves Kerkez and kids. Liverpool want to be competing on all fronts next season, and they do not wish to rely on kids. Big transfer window incoming, pending Champions League next season.
21 Feb 2026 12:23:27
Kerkez is a long way off being a top level left back? He looks every inch a great buy to me and looks the part more and more every week. He has pace, tenacity, and is great in the air for somebody his size. He is seldom found lacking in aerial or ground duels nowadays, is mentally strong, and has great one-on-one focus.
He is improving on the attacking end too. He has made very big progress since the beginning of the season. Credit to the lad, given all the criticism he has received. He looks very fit and looks well capable of playing twice a week now.
21 Feb 2026 12:53:27
Pretty sure Beck is older than Kerkez. If it's not Beck for backup (and he's been a solid performer wherever he's been on loan), then they need to sell him. I absolutely believe he's good enough to play 10-15 games a season as a backup lb.
21 Feb 2026 13:51:16
We will need a left back, but spending money on a left back of the same age as Kerkez, who will want to play regularly, will only create an issue two seasons from now. We will need a veteran, preferably homegrown, to have as a backup to Kerkez. The issue is not that we need a left back, because we do, but that we need to spend more resources on an experienced CB, someone for the midfield (maybe two depending on outgoings), and a winger (again, maybe two depending on outgoings) before spending big on a LB.
21 Feb 2026 15:12:24
Brown is younger than Beck, and only a year older than Chambers. Both would be well further on in their careers if not for injury. Can't see this move happening at all.
21 Feb 2026 17:19:30
Another 90 mins for Chambers in the Championship today. Just needs to stay fit.
21 Feb 2026 19:13:54
@FM, Who said we would be spending big money?
21 Feb 2026 20:36:16
Seen £50m+ for the guy somewhere, WDW. Bit much when we have a 1st choice LB and promising young players waiting for an opportunity.
22 Feb 2026 00:11:29
@FM, would that be online? Sometimes there are tinkers and stamps that just make numbers up.
22 Feb 2026 09:23:20
#scamps.
22 Feb 2026 10:30:10
Well, a quick Google. I must say I've never heard of him myself. However, he's linked with us, Man City and Barcelona, along with others. If City want him, they will get him. I'd forget about this 1 personally, unless Hugo has a word.
22 Feb 2026 11:33:26
Our transfer policy needs looking at, in the terms Arsenal did. No doubt Kerkez is improving with every game. We should be looking at right back, in my view. We need a solid backup. It's a must. When Connor is back, he will get regular knock-on injuries and take months of football to get fully fit.
An experienced, fully grown adult is required, not a kid or a wing back. Boring view, I know. But swapping players from midfield in and out leaves us unbalanced. A good solid James Milner type would do the job. YNWA.
