A friend of a friend has told me, his time is up.
Whether this means Mr Gerrard will step in until the summer? I'm not sure.
But there has been talks. Very frequent ones.

Didn't Gerrard recently defend Slot, saying he lacks the depth to compete in both the league and Europe? I struggle to see how he can take over with that attitude. I would be interested to hear his answer to which competition he plans to sacrifice in his first press conference.

Come on, all these rumours only start when we lose. Tumbleweeds here after the win vs Gala. It's clearly a personnel issue more than anything. Today's game made that very evident. No coaching change will make much of a difference - need a transfer window.

Babbity Rabbity, Gerrard's been openly critical of many of Slot's decisions. His comments in regard to squad depth were not to defend Slot, he was simply agreeing that there's a need for squad depth when competing in multiple competitions, where you've got limited recovery time and a lengthy injury list. This is a fact, and by no means a measure of his attitude or capability.

Total & utter dereliction of duty if they bomb him out now!
They should have had the balls to make the big call weeks, even months ago, when a large part of the season was still salvageable.
The very fact they didn't want to back him in January was enough reason to think they were looking to go in a different direction come the end of the season, and that's when they should have made the decision! Now all we've got is a disjointed playing squad who plainly are as much to blame, but also led by total incompetence by all above!

FSG need to ease off on their sell-to-buy policy a bit, also. Season after season, they are leaving the squad short, cut to its bare bones. We need a bigger squad.

IagoAspasCorners, are you Arne in disguise? ;-) Utd fans could've said the same about Amorim, before they bought in an ex-midfielder. Football is more about vibes and morale than anyone cares to admit. Never seen an LFC in such need of some short-term passion to fire them up.

Chewy, I agree that depth needs to be improved, but in the hypothetical situation that Gerrard comes in as interim, I don't think he is doing himself any favours with these comments.
It's a redundant issue under Slot anyway, as he doesn't use the squad depth to its full utility.
He never has. Squad rotation and management are yet another failing of his.
People have defended Slot, saying, "we bought seven but sold nine", but of the nine we sold, he barely played the majority of them. There's no point in him having extra players he won't use.

@RedMick, We have spent £450m in the summer. What we need is a manager who can get the best out of them. Slot is not doing that.
I feel that he is sabotaging the team wilfully with his tactics because he did not get the players he wanted in the summer.
We need a new manager and another summer transfer window to get the right players in.
Slot is gone 100%.

I think, because he knows he's gone in the summer, he's had no incentive to change his approach, instead opting to try and prove everyone wrong, and his tactics will work eventually.

The delusion from some on here is almost as wild as how out of his depth Slot is.
Most people have been calling for Slot to be sacked since November, after the first three times he's managed false dawns, only to revert back to Slotball and brainless formations the next game and drop points to a relegation side.
I'm not sure how much more evidence some of you need. I think you must be Slot's PR team doing damage control.
If you're seriously blaming the squad, how did this lot win the league and manage to put in good performances once they press high, outrun the opposition, move the ball quickly, and don't have mids in defense, no shape in mid, and try to play Gakpo and Salah as our width?
It's really not hard to figure out, once you stop believing that Slot can turn this around.
He's the problem, not the solution with this team, and he's shown it over and over and over.

If I recall correctly, snuggle, Klopp also played Salah wide 3-4 seasons ago and he wasn't nearly so effective. Salah and Gakpo are both very average glued to the touchline. Some, or most, would argue Gakpo is very average anywhere else on the pitch.
With reference to being the solution or the problem, Slot is very much the latter. If you are the problem, you aren't the solution.

We'll lose a game with 3 r 4 games to go and people will be coming on here saying he has to go. And the ITK's will be all over the place with notions of meetings and Zoom calls. ? Slot is here till May, there's 7 games left for Christ's sake. I don't know why people keep doing this to themselves.

Tsk, Chiesa is still better than Gakpo. We also saw what he did last year with Elliott, Endo, Quansah, Morton. He used Nunez and Jota slightly more, but not by much. If he won't rotate the squad properly until he's got two £50m players in each position, I'm sorry to break it to him, but football doesn't work like that.
Klopp was competing for the top trophies with Origi and Shaqiri as backup to Mane, Firmino and Salah, and Shaqiri was injured half the time.

It is almost like the Hodgson days, except 2 big differences.
Slot did win #20, and he talks much more sense than Hodgson.
Still, enough is enough.
It seems like the players are not responding to him at all.
And the performance, I just hope to fast forward the game all the time.
Jones was slated, it appeared, and I think he thoroughly deserved it. I see no purpose in his play. Bang average, and he is absolutely inviting pressure for opponents to win the ball off him with his demeanour, speed and strength.
Konate had a horror of a game.
So did Macca.
Oh, not to mention the love-son Gakpo. Macca and Gakpo, it has come to be expected of them recently.
I will be even more glad to see the back of them, even more so than Jones.
I give 1 to all of them, and perhaps a 2 to Macca.
