Hi all,
Journalists were briefed after the PSG game to show support for Slot and board. Lots of fluctuation behind the scenes at the moment but the bottom line is to pay no mind to anything any journo says. Slot will not be here next season.

Just been reading a long post from BayernSpace which he posted last night. (They're rarely short posts.)
It seems they're saying the same thing. Much more going on behind the scenes than journalists make you believe. Also suggested that both Frimpong and Wirtz are in regular contact with Alonso.

I hope you are right, Victor - although the people running this club seem so disconnected with the fans and the city that it wouldn't surprise me if Slot stayed.
It's not all on Slot, but getting a coach in who understands the need for pace, power and intensity would help things. Also, someone who gets, or tries to get, the club, the fans and the city, and stops telling us the evidence of our own eyes is wrong.
I hope it doesn't stop there though.
I hope that the changes go upwards as well. From ticket prices, to stadium entry, to apathetic displays on the pitch, there seems to be a disconnect between the club and the people that make it special - the supporters.
That bond is sacred and is what separates us from other clubs. It's unique and when we are all pulling together it is unstoppable.
I hope whoever comes in as coach and above can address that. The playing side will follow.

There are great football journalists like Daniel Taylor, Matt Lawton, Sam Wallace etc, and then true shills like Jamie Jackson, so as in all things, a mixed bag. You won't find many better writers anywhere than the late Hugh McIlvanney.

There's probably a bit of a franchise mentality in
those running the club. In many ways, for them, we could be based anywhere.
The positives, though, as the games changed, are that we've been able to watch players like Suarez and Torres, and be managed by Jurgen. It's a double-edged thing, but somehow they need to restore some local connections.

We're in a dystopian era. Arne's at it as well in the media. They seem to think they can PR the problems away. They just need to work and play harder, fight more, score goals and win games and that's how they might start to win back confidence and support.

FWIW, Bayern Space has, without a doubt, knowledge on the situation. He was calling that Wirtz was going to us when all reports linked him to City and said that's why he was in England. He has links to German related media that would have links to Xabi and his team during their time in Germany.
I would believe every word he says. There is a reason Bayern got his account taken down.

Liverpool's PR efforts are quite sad tbh. People don't believe a word of what the journalists say, yet they put out puff piece after puff piece despite the fact. Why?

They are just saving face, we have been told by Carra, Slot is gone in the summer, there is no point in the club saying anything other than they support him now, as they won't sack him early.
