Not hearing hood news on Ekitike. Wish him a speedy recovery. Word is it's ACL, so tough luck for the player.
15 Apr 2026 06:54:59
I read that it was a heel injury so I'm guessing it was his Achilles. But yeah, it isn't looking good, and he is likely to miss out for the rest of the season and the World Cup too.
15 Apr 2026 07:03:37
Has he had a scan yet?
15 Apr 2026 07:24:20
Well it's definitely not his ACL.
15 Apr 2026 08:19:33
That's the problem with these hoodies these days.
15 Apr 2026 08:51:10
He can't have had his scan yet.
Hard to tell, but I thought they were assessing the lower leg. So assumed is a ruptured Achilles.
15 Apr 2026 08:55:07
Looked like the heel not the knee to me. Likely Achilles or plantar.
15 Apr 2026 09:05:49
French media saying it's an Achilles rupture. Facing 9 months out. Doubt he's had a scan yet, but it definitely didn't look good.
15 Apr 2026 09:18:39
I know it's very early on, but surely this has to change transfer plans.
Isak isn't the most reliable on the injury front. Surely we will have to think about keeping Chiesa next season.

Can I ask where you 'heard' this news? Every report going says his Achilles, and, watching the game, it looked like he was holding his leg where his Achilles is. Sharing that someone has done an ACL when they haven't, and claiming you 'heard it' as though you have some inside knowledge, is just rubbish, to be honest, and a pretty shameful example of someone pretending to be in the know or sharing fake news without bothering to check the facts.
15 Apr 2026 09:32:31
According to his family (in reports), Ekitike has (thankfully) not ruptured his Achilles, but the injury is bad enough to rule him out of the rest of the season and the World Cup.
15 Apr 2026 10:00:16
Jesus! If it wasn't for bad luck we would have no luck at all.
I don't think Hugo and Isak are not meant to be on the same pitch together.
Looks like another long term injury to Hugo.
And Gomez went off with a twisted sock again.
Oh well, one game a week now, Slot can't moan about tiredness lol.
15 Apr 2026 10:24:26
Just wish the lad well.
Whatever the injury, he's not playing for us until August, so let's hope he gets the treatment he needs and is firing for next season.
15 Apr 2026 10:56:18
Wouldn't be making me keep Chiesa. Would be a promotion to backup striker for Danns or Wright for me.
15 Apr 2026 11:04:27
Will make him a different player. Really bad news and such a shame.
15 Apr 2026 11:59:30
ACL standing for Ah Can't Lie, I'm getting sick of these constant injuries.
15 Apr 2026 12:43:54
It definitely wasn't his knee, you could see he went down as soon as he planted his foot and was initially holding his ankle by the Achilles, the PSG players were holding his leg up by the knee to keep weight off the foot which you wouldn't do if it was the knee, it was definitely in around the ankle/heel area.
If it's as serious as it looked, and it looked pretty bad, he's out for at least 6 months. Looked like he signalled to the physio that he thought he snapped it.
15 Apr 2026 13:16:22
My mistake there, it's not ACL.
15 Apr 2026 13:51:02
We needed at least one or two pacey winger/forwards anyway, for me, no reason to keep Chiesa for the team or for him; keeping him helps no one.
15 Apr 2026 14:35:07
So we moved from ACL to ruptured Achilles in the French press to not a ruptured Achilles according to 'family', and we need a new CF because Hugo's a write off and he still hasn't had a scan. ???
16 Apr 2026 07:28:53
He's out for an estimated 9 months - terrible news. Likelihood is that Will Wright will be called up to the main squad.
