Reading up on Munoz he's a left winger, we have Gakpo and Rio who play left wing for us, isn't Diomande also a left winger? Surely this means we aren't getting him now?

Diomande can play both wings, but played mostly RW last season.
I thought he was better on the RW too in the game against Ecuador, can cut in, hold the ball up or go down the byline... very dynamic player.

Diomande is right footed and can play both sides.
Played primarily RW for Leipzig and interestingly scored 7/12 goals with his left foot.
Perhaps a function of coming off the right perhaps?
I wouldn't be worried about it anyways, he'll be versatile.

Diomande will be playing on the Rw, he is the Salah replacement.
Gakpo rumoured to want out of LFC, Munoz can also play as a striker, which will be very handy, as the likelihood of Isak staying fit all season is very slim indeed.
I would suggest this means Barcola will not be signing, but as I am a humble poster and not an ITK, I could be wrong about that.

There may be some legs to the rumours surrounding Gakpo, I'm guessing.
If we get Diomande and Munoz, then that would also allow Rio to play and rotate with both. That, plus possibly Elliott, would produce some threat beyond what we had last season.
Pace too, which has been desperately needed. Munoz does feel like a Bournemouth signing, and I am excited to see what Iraola can do with a player with Munoz's physical attributes.

Both can play either side.

Tbh, if we sign Diomande & Munoz, that is decent business. Stand out player in a relegation threatened team and was responsible for 25% of their goals.

Anyone know what sort of player Munoz is? What are his strengths? Where does he need to improve? I know very little about him, eh.
18 Jun 2026 03:31:54
He is like a Jota but with more pace and tricks. Probably not as clinical though.
18 Jun 2026 06:20:48
Pace, power, and dribbling seem his strengths. Like a Spanish Harvey Barnes ;).
{Ed001's Note - Munoz can play on either side as well.}

Wee fella but speedy as they come. Versatile and tricksy.

He's played right across the forward line this season, absolutely rapid, low centre of gravity, decent build, hard working lad with a good attitude. Signing out of nowhere, but one I'm happy about.

So long as we add some physicality to the team too. Nice to have tricky speed merchants like Munoz and Rio, but we badly lack a bit of brute force. Hopefully we replace Mac Alister with someone more robust.
