I think we need a couple of energetic, aggressive type players into team and trents not that. Maybe if our midfield was different he may work for us but at present I don't think he what we need. When u see araujo determination to keep a clean sheet that's what I want to see.

Because Mourinho is pragmatic and doesn't like to take risks. Trent's passing/crossing is often compared to the likes of KDB and Beckham but in reality it's more Bruno Fernandes. When it comes off they're great, but plenty don't and just result in turnovers.
Couple that with the poor positional play and defensive mistakes and there is a reason managers don't pick him unless they have a team built around accommodating him.

Mourinho employs a defend first philosophy, for the most part, he likes defenders who can actually defend. Trent makes rookie defensive errors; gets caught ball-watching, doesn't track his man, has lapses in positional awareness.
What Trent didn't realise when he left to win the Ballon dor, was that Klopp had built a system to compensate for Trents weaknesses so that we could better exploit his talents, and that he was never going to be afforded that privilege anywhere else.
Not to mention he's also put on weight and doesn't look as quick or fit as he used to be.
I can see him moving to Italy to try and save face, or Chelsea if Alonso is keen. I don't see him coming back to Anfield, we no longer use the system that once flattered him, he will continue to struggle defensively, and we're currently looking for a RB who defends first. If we brought Trent in tomorrow, he wouldn't start over Araujo.

Easy, he's absolutely rinsed, he's injury prone, he's lazy, he's a liability defensively.
Where does he go next?
Who cares as long as we don't waste money on him. Let him be someone else's expensive mistake. His career at the top is as good as over.

Spot on @MarkP. Beckham's left foot was just there for standing on. He was slow as a crab and couldn't tackle or head a ball to save his life. From a football perspective he was, imho, vastly overrated.

Beckham only played right wing at Man United cause he didn't fit in a 2 man midfield. When he moved to Real, he moved into a Pirlo type role and his game became significantly more well-rounded.

My mate was a season ticket holder at Man United and said Beckham would only hit a Hollywood pass maybe a few times a game and that's what you would see on match of the day, he didn't rate him that highly.

Well i think the only way it makes sense him coming back here is if he pays his own transfer fee, I'm sure that will make him, his nasty piece of work sister and his brother humble, that would be such sweet karma.
