Has anyone any update on whether we are still trying to recruit Mbaye from PSG? If we can get it over the line quickly, we would only need one private jet to bring him and Barcola over for their medicals, hence saving some cash.

What is everyone's prediction for the end of the window?

I predict lots of noise. There'll be sometimes we think we might get 3/4.

But ultimately, Gakpo goes, Barcola and one of Minteh/Sarr/Mbaye/Pardo comes in.

Elliott goes on loan.

Chiesa (the worth a shot because he would be guaranteed profit) hangs around another season as no takers.

That's no inside info whatsoever. Pure gut feeling. What are the other gut feelings out there on how this window ends for us?

Right, the Elliott loan is coming to fruition. Prediction is still on track.

Is there any update on Bradley’s return? Will the club stick with him and trust him to be over his injury-plagued couple of seasons? I do hope so as he is a very good full back. It’s also been a long time since I looked at a Liverpool squad without a Scouser, a Scottish player, or an Irish player.

Is Barcola in Liverpool yet for medical?

I read that it would be tomorrow after the match, but that could be complete nonsense.

Twitter buzzing with Trent wanting to come back
I will have him back if he turns on his brother and drops him as his agent who advised (ratted him out) him so very poorly
Here is why it didn't work for him at Madrid —-
The thing about it all is he went on a free transfer, once you go to a club on a free transfer, you’ll get treated very different from a multi million pound signing. It’s easy to leave the free transfer on the bench, it’s easy to leave the free transfer out of the squad, it’s easy to blame the player who didn’t cost anything.

There is nothing riding and the fans don't give a flying f*** for a free transfer. He is a defender. He thought he will do the Mbappe thing and it will work forgetting he is nowhere near that level! And he was always a bad defender and a certain coach and club and its fan always had his back.
Now he is destined for even more backlash when he eventually has to come back to England and join a rival.
Eventually Owen 2.0 all over it.

Tons of speculation based off the fact that he did an interview recently in which he was questioned about dealing with the hate from Liverpool fans, further perpetuated by the fact that Dumfries started over him in the last 2 games. Real only have 2x RB's, Trent might be on the bench, but he's not going anywhere.

First time poster but long time reader … For the 99th time I’ve logged on hoping for a signing … Let’s hope a bit later it’s 100th time lucky!

We talking to Camara or giving Chelsea free rein? Would prefer Wharton myself but he does look good.

Hi all,

There is absolutely no chance of MacAllister leaving this late in the window unless two midfielders are inbound, which is highly unlikely.

It is true that Man City deeply admire the player. Despite this, the Argentine will remain at Anfield almost certainly.

Can't we swap for that Bouadi kid, he's young but could be worth a pop. ?

Cheers, Vic. That's what I was hoping to hear. For all our complaints about him, I feel he provides a vital bit of grit in what is an otherwise weak midfield.

Why we haven't signed midfielders at this stage is a joke.

I have it on good authority that Liverpool are now back to looking at previous targets in the European leagues given the valuations of players in the PL (Minteh, Sarr) deemed too expensive.

Liverpool aim to buy not 2 but 3 wingers in this window along with a central midfielder, with no other positions being deemed necessary by Hughes and Iraola.

Now the Barcola deal is all but finalised. The next target remains Mbaye and talks are progressing well with PSG, with the expectation from Liverpool being that the fee will reduce nearer the transfer deadline, ala Barcola.
Liverpool are increasingly confident of getting the Mbaye deal over the line given the player's desire to join and on-going good relations with PSG.

The other option I'm hearing, and discussed tentatively when Liverpool enquired to Real Madrid about Endrick, is Brahim Diaz.
I'm hearing Madrid would be open to a deal for Diaz rather than let Endrick leave, given Endrick's age and the potential that Real see in him.

I'm hearing Liverpool will begin negotiations with Madrid early next week.

Thirdly, I've been told to expect Liverpool to open negotiations with Monaco for Lamine Camara next week also, with the player keen on the move also.

Outgoings: I've been told clubs in Germany have enquired about Harvey Elliott with a move outside the PL expected, Chiesa will likely head back to Italy and Endo is being tracked by Fulham, Celtic and a club in Saudi.

Lastly, I've been told that it was always in the plan for Liverpool to conclude deals as late in the window as possible in order to achieve the best possible value.
Not a tactic I personally agree with, but financially this is the way that the club / Hughes have decided to attack this window.

Camara talks next week? The PL transfer window closes Tuesday 01 September 11:00 pm.

1 on the Fornax scale.

You can't argue with the logic. It will save us a lot of money if we don't start discussions until the window closes!

As an FYI, the week usually starts on a Sunday, ladies. Keep up the good work. ??

I would like to get Mbaye and a defensive midfielder. Hopefully getting Mbaye does not mean that we sell Gakpo, since I feel we would need him given the way Iraola wants to play, which demands a lot of energy, and Isak will get hurt given his history.

Now, regarding the defensive midfielder, my question to people is who is a defensive midfielder, or at least a midfielder who likes to defend, besides Camara? I really want to know options from other people just to hear opinions on the matter.
