Disappointing week in terms of transfers, although I would imagine we get a couple in before the deadline. Hopefully Thiago will be fit enough soon to play at no.6 because alexis is wasted there and on top of that, shoe horning gakpo into where alexis should be playing didn't work either!
On a different note, the terrible news coming out of Bramley dock today really does put everything into perspective, bigger things going on than this 'FSG out' crap, thoughts go out to this young person sadly lost today.

We have been slow in bringing in reinforcements but can turn this around. Billy Hogan should be in charge of transfers going forward to ensure they get over the line. Mac Allister and Szobo were a little easier for lack of a better word because it was a case of activating a release clause.
Caicedo and Lavia wanted Chelsea which is fine, we move on. Only disappointment my side is how things have been handled and the poor forward planning. Three signings in Joao Palhinha, Florentino Luis as our two DM’s and Inacio as our LCB will see us challenging. All is not lost but we have to move fast before other targets go.

Ed001 I hope Salah gets his new contract and then we have him Diaz and Jota for the future Mane and Bobby have not been at there best I would like one to go in the summer and a another new forward to come in then. If one’s does leave it gives Diaz half a season to gel in to taken over next season.

Instead of liking 1 of mane or firmino to leave I would love if they started to rediscover some frightening form and we win every competition we are in this year
We all love new players but I’d suspect Diaz will be slowly introduced to the team for a few reasons as to not upset some of the current players and also to learn how we play and what is expected of him from his role . But given what I have read and watched from the lad effort and work rate are not lacking what so ever
Let’s get it over the line now.

Ok thanks. Would it be possible he’s just holding out for Chelsea, but if they don’t match our bid, it’s not completely out of the question that he may still come to liverpool? But if Chelsea indeed do make an acceptable offer to Brighton, that’s where the lad will end up… Chelsea’s communication to Brighton is presumably, we’ll make a better bid, but just need to tie up a few loose ends with other imminent arrivals before we can sit and discuss the structure of the deal etc. makes perfect sense to be fair.

Just the general consensus from the journalists, which admittedly is probably wide of the mark! A big chunk for him to forfeit though! If he’s prepared to do that and the wages on offer are similar, fair play to the lad, he’s obviously got his heart set on Chelsea.

Not a chance for me. Be near on impossible to replace under any circumstances, never mind with lads who are fresh out of nappies. Nearly all of our goals, he either scored, or assists and we’d do well to finish top half. If they’re planning on selling him next summer, we must bring in a replacement in January to give time to bed in the replacement or we’ll just be going backwards.

You do realise that the club have not paid the contractor in full? On top of this, would hold a percentage back as retention for 12 months also…? There will already be another contractor lined up to complete the work once the administrator has been in. It could in fact save the club money as they potentially have penalty clauses on Buckingham which could be of set with money owed
