What has our fanbase become? The amount of negativity around us absolutely horrific to see honestly whatever happened to support for the team? It's hard in this day and age to think that the amount of negative crap from the fans wouldn't be effecting the players at all. Best fans in the world? My balls aye more like when we are winning cause right now allot of our fanbase are turning into the ones we've been laughing at for the past decade.
Question for the fans that are demanding just any old signing but are also complaining that the owners aren't putting money into the club is this:
If we go out and sign 2 sh*t midfielders now for £50 million a pop just to keep you and sky sports happy and they don't work out then we are stuck with 2 more baby keitas for 5 years then what? Do you then blame the owners for buying them players and not going for the players that we actually want?
Only reason I'm saying this now is I have absolutely loved laughing at united fans for this exact type of behaviour for the past load of years and I called them the most clueless bunch of fans but now our fanbase is riddled with it I think it's became infectious.

Absolutely spot on that Glen. I’ve tried to have that conversation on here so many times (there’s a thread on the rumours page right now) and they just twist your words to suit their negative agenda.
I swear they won’t be happy until we have a squad full of panic buys like in the Rodgers days.
Klopp is not perfect by any means but his record in the transfer market is second to none. If he thinks a player is worth waiting for then I’d say we should believe him.

Sorry GR but your comment about the midfielders makes no sense. Literally any player signed could potentially be a dud for us, including Bellingham and owners or the club in general are not going to buy players on the back of a football forum or any other fan group. So if players turn out crap it is on whoever buys them. Maybe you’re suggesting the club signed Melo to appease the fans?
I could go on but for me you aren’t 100% correct, sorry Rigsby and BP and for me it also shows the more “ positive” posters will agree with anything that suits their needs. Not much better than the negative posters for me ?.

Beckers, having an honest conversation is now becoming a futile adventure lately cos it seems emotional rants are now considered to be relevant arguments when you put them against actual facts as if facts care about my feelings. We can be negative and frustrated as that is normal and allowed BUT the absolute meltdown I have seen by many in our fan base (not just on here) is frightening cos they act like we have been absolute duds over the past 5 years as if we haven't won as much as a corner kick all these years you know, like Utd hasn't and we saw the absolute meltdown that happened there with the riot at OT.
@Irish Rover for me, it's not about being positive for the sake of it. It is about being measured. Do you really think that those of us who are measured in our reactions to our frustrations are okay with what's going on or are relaxed about it? Pretty sure you don't think so. However, we just don't engage in mindless rants that make no sense or twist someones words to suit whatever agenda we want to push or distort the facts to do so. That is the difference.
It is not about who is positive or negative. It is about your reaction to either scenario. If you are all hunky dorry when things are great and then you become a spoiled, petulant brat insulting everyone under the sun at the club cos they did not do what or sign who you wanted then, you will be treated as such. Oli, if the 2 posters above were “measured” in their opinion then they certainly wouldn’t agree that a club would even consider buying 2 £50 million players just to appease the fans. That’s just a nonsense paragraph that BP and Rigsby we’re more than happy to agree with.

It's hardly not measured Irish rover. Yes any player can be a flop but I'd rather sign the players the manager and club want then they be a flop rather than just doing a Chelsea and buying 2 players for the sake of it.

@redwork I'm pretty sure the manager did want tchouameni last season and we were close to signing him until Madrid made their move. The same manager who used to get a pat on the back from fans for waiting for the man he wanted now after one poor season it seems allot of our fans just want bums on seats to make the FIFA 24 squad look tastier.

OneKiss I get the sentiment of wanting him to get a career rather than be on the bench but the club has to maximize the amount we get we can't go on sentimental values mate. That being said in today's market for me he's a 20 million pound player.

Thiago is honestly the best player I've watched him live words can't describe him but he definitely needs to move on can't keep up with the pace of the league.

Embarrassed because we just won't pay what another team is asking for lol ok. Suppose there's no point in negotiations anymore we will just have a flat fee and it's either paid or not lol that's the transfer windows solved now.

Anyone that thinks mo Salah is replaceable needs to think again. There are maybe 3 or 4 players worldwide in top leagues that have the high numbers he produces every season and none of them would come to play in the Europa League.
