Ed025 I thought you would have got something out of tonight, I think that's you done I can see Forest picking up 4 points that puts them 6 points above you and I cannot see you winning 2 games. I think Leicester will pick up some points but Everton and Leeds look done. 2 of the biggest names in English football look a total shambles.

You are going to need to put in some monster performances in now to stay up ed025. Leicester is a massive game but I think at home they'll have too much. Then on paper Brighton and city are write offs. Wolves may be on the beach but that's probably their last home game so will want to end on a high. And if you don't win any of those four, you may already be gone by the time Bournemouth turns up.

I hope you don't go but it looks bleak and it could be a long road back.

It is only a game Ed but the club is in a perilous position.

I don’t think it’s hyperbole to say if they go they might well not be back for a long long time. Particularly if penalties are applied next season for the financial issues.

That Leicester game is absolutely enormous.

It’s great that as a city we needle each other and take the pee. There’s nothing better or funnier than when a few reds and blues get together when one teams won and the other has lost you can be in hysterics and vexed at the same time. I seen my mate on tv at the game tonight just after the 4th goal went in stood proud ( a big strong lad) with his eyes glistening looking as the realisation that this really could be about to happen. I was gutted for him . It becomes personal then, I hope it’s another Wimbledon last game of the season thing. This city needs Everton in the prem ( the bottom half like cos it’s funny) but it does. I hope they stay up I really do.

Ed025 I watched Everton at Anfield this season mate and on the day they were one of the worst sides I’ve seen live mate (we weren’t much better mind) . Just didn’t seem like they were willing to go that extra yard and fight.

If they go down though it could be the opportunity to completely wipe the slate clean and take the championship by storm (like Burnley) and come back up.

The problem is when sides scrape and just stay up they tend to keep most of their players that put them there in the first place. As much as relegation is going to hurt Everton it would force them to hit that major reset button.

Problem is then they can either embrace it or could struggle to return to the league for years.

With a brand new stadium though and more famous neighbours they could be very attractive to these billionaires.

Look at City they were bought whilst Utd were the biggest club in the world.

There's more chance of Everton dropping like a lead lined breeze block than bouncing straigh back up. Ed025 is right, there are liable to be sanctions and they will bite hard on an already beleagured club.
I would hope the toxicity between the 2 fanbases would start to die off too, there's no way of telling which way that will go.

I think you're right Flash. I see Everton going the way of Portsmouth, Sunderland and Bolton if they go down. Look how many years it took Leeds to recover. It's actually a bit gutting if they go down and don't come straight back. The derby is one of the best games of the season and also one of the few games we don't have to listen to chanting mocking Hillsborough. Hopefully Dyche pulls off a miracle.

The thing is 25 mate, you say Everton could well be sanctioned, transfer ban, points deduction, yet city have already been fined once, the PL has also been investigating them for a good few years now, but you can get your bottom dollar it’ll just ge a fine for them.
Small clubs have gone under for being penalised!
Make my blood boil at times.

Ed025, we were both at the 84 fa cup final. She was well connected and had dinner a few times with Graeme sharp and Lineker, had meetings with bill Kenwright too.

I always thought Everton would stay up, largely because of the home crowd and the atmosphere that they create at Goodison but watching it last night it seemed to me that even the crowd have given up.

Not surprising when the defence let someone walk through them without even putting in a tackle after they’ve just got what should’ve been a lifeline goal. Gana and Keane especially need shooting for that 4th goal. I’ve never seen anything like it.

Never mind Ed25 like you say it’s only a game. Something I’ve said to myself more than once this season!

{Ed025's Note - maybe us going down is not the end of the world BP, reset and start again hopefully without this board and owners who have drove this club to the ground, i may not be around to see them come back but something has to change mate, to be honest football is not the biggest thing in my life these days because the money in the game has spoilt it for me but maybe thats just because of our plight, i will still support the because they are my team but they have drove me to drink...and i never really thanked them.. :)
