Friedkin 'ell Ed025

{Ed025's Note - it looks that way Paisley mate, how it turns out is a different matter though so im just crossing my fingers at the moment..

Hello Ed025,Would be very surprised if EFC went down, as there are worse sides than EFC, Crystal Palace are horrendous, ye should not have got beat at Villa after being two up and also Bournemouth 2-0 up, with ye Best player to come back now who hopefully may be ours next season, if he played in the above two games ye would not of got beat!

It's one of them where you're playing well and getting nothing, and it's not if the teams above you are pulling away from you. We have a once in a month meeting of Ford work colleagues in MO'S and circa 18 attend, 12 of them are mad blues from Walton, Kirby. I keep telling them to live in hope not fear as there is always someone worse off than you.

LFC will keep Wolves bottom on Saturday for you, but of course do yourself favours firstly" as that is always better than relying on someone else.

And when I see you in the "White Horse" in Woolton, two bottles of champagne, one for EFC playing their first premier game at Bramley Moor next season, and one for LFC winning the Premier.

{Ed025's Note - i will look forward to that 007, we just need to get some points on the board mate and hopefully we can start moving forward..cheers..

Hope it works out for them.
I hope they continue to bring through young talent and builds from their academy. Don’t go chasing a quick fix.

27 Sep 2024 01:47:39
Hope they get relegated.

27 Sep 2024 03:52:37
007 - Do you honestly look at Crystal Palace’s team and think it is worse than Everton’s? Everton may well win the match between them this weekend, but it won’t change anything - Palace have a much better set of players than Everton. As for Glasner, his honeymoon period has well and truly finished.
Though I believe Everton were unfortunate not to get anything against Bournemouth or Aston Villa, the point stands that they have 1 point from 5 games and are conceding 3 goals a game. It’s atrocious. They have a good, useful striker in Calvert-Lewin and an excellent player in Branthwaite, but the rest of the squad is relegation standard.

Good luck with everything Ed0025!

{Ed025's Note - thanks KC..we may just need some mate..

27 Sep 2024 07:24:15
I don’t think Crystal Palace are horrendous tbh, they’ve played West Ham, Chelsea, Leicester, Man U and only lost once drawn 3. The loss against a poor West Ham side ain’t great and they should of beat a bad Leicester side but draws against Chelsea and united are good results wouldn’t be suprised if palace beat Everton.

Same group own Roma, it ain't going well .

The opposite of that Kloppers is you can also apply your thinking to LFCs opening fixtures? where Man Utd are the only team we have faced in the Premier to finish in the top half last season, and the added advantage of three homes games compared to two away games, three tomorrow.

However, the "Epidemic" that JK left during his last season is again regularly occurring under Arne's early tenure which is conceding the first and only goal in one case to the opposition, indeed "Boiled Ham" scored the first goal against the B team during the week, but like the A team demonstrated that they like Arne can win from coming behind.

The conceding of the first goal has to be addressed sooner than later! as better teams will not let you back sometimes although Milan did, as in some cases only one goal is required to win a game of football, and you increase ye chances of that by scoring the first goal rather than the opposition.

The early signs are promising from Arne as I like his style of good attacking football, breaking the habit of not conceding the first goal will only improve our chances of success, starting tomorrow!

Palace have a good squad. There was a couple of big players lost in the summer in Olise and Anderson. It will take a while for their replacements to settle and I think Glasner needs to stop his experiment playing Kamada as a deeper midfielder. Lerma and Wharton has the makings of a very solid midfield duo and Kamada is quite clearly an attacking player so playing him there instead of Lerma is leaving Wharton far too much work to do. They also started the season without Mateta due to the Olympics. Once they get Chalobah on the pitch to replace Anderson, Mateta back fully firing, Kamada and Lerma in their proper positions etc. they will be fine.

Ipswich, Southampton and Leicester look like they'll have a job not to go straight back down however. They look weak at the back and light in terms of goal scorers. I don't think Everton and Wolves will be much higher than them though as neither side seems capable of holding onto a lead right now. Wolves losing Kilman and Neto has absolutely ravaged the side. Everton without Branthwaite just look pitiful. The question is; are 3 of those 4 other teams worse than Everton? That'll be what decides whether they stay up because Everton don't look good enough to stay up by playing well. A Premier League without Everton doesn't feel right but on the flip side I also want Ipswich, Leicester and Wolves to stay up because there just aren't enough midlands teams in the League (Villa the only other representative) and I don't want the league to just become North vs South as a native 'midlander' myself!

If you’re in a foot race with the 3 promoted teams plus wolves, palace and possibly West Ham who are struggling to score then I fancy your chances. Hoping you stay up!

{Ed025's Note - cheers mate ..

27 Sep 2024 12:55:55
Possibly the best thing to happen at Everton in the past decade. Look forward to playing a good Everton team in a great new stadium down by the river. Great for the city, great for footy fans and great for the Reds to battle a proper Everton team ?.

{Ed025's Note - I agree WDW. Let’s hope we stay up and have a great rivalry again but without all the nastiness mate. I would love that..

27 Sep 2024 13:08:56
Why berate Everton? I don't know all your ages so maybe you were not around at the time? but the first true friends and consoling "mates" same families sometimes, during the worst Tragedy in Football History were Supporters of Everton Football Club, indeed they had an instantaneous whip round of over half a million pounds, that deserves my "Respect" and "Thanks" and always will.

I think you will find that Love and not Hate will be of more Benefit in every aspect of Life. God says "Love thy Neighbours" which I always have, indeed as I have remarked above when I meet my old work colleagues monthly 12 out of the 18 are absolute EFC fanatics, there are good and bad eggs in "EVERY" football club and always will be.

Best of Luck Ed025 for the future and here's hoping!

{Ed025's Note - well said 007. It was great when we were all as one in the 80,s mate and travelled there and back as friends mate. Here’s hoping for a new start as one city as we should be..

27 Sep 2024 17:02:06
It will never be like the 80’s friendly derbies ever again . Supporting each other is not a red or blue thing it’s a “Scouse” thing. That said the blues best nights celebrating in recent times have been us losing the champions league finals or getting pipped to premier leagues. If they would of gone down last year they would of gone down happy singing “ you lost the league at woodison park” so if they go down anytime soon I’ll party like it’s 1999.

{Ed025's Note - the league was gone well before we kicked your arses John, it was our cup final really so you cant begrudge us a bit of respite mate, i do agree that we wont see times like the 80,s again mate but thats a social problem more than a football problem for me..

27 Sep 2024 18:33:03
I think dyche is the manager to steady the ship again this season and keep you up. Being a Liverpool fan wouldn’t be the same without having the derby. I wish the club well and hope new owners are a good fit.

{Ed025's Note - nice one Ecogsi..

27 Sep 2024 23:39:22
Everton will pick up the results and finish around 12th Is my opinion.

28 Sep 2024 09:15:19
Seeing a section of Everton fans celebrating online when Pickford took Van Dijk out for a season was a turning point for me.
And the rivalry went sour over simple envy.
The situation was worsened by Liverpool#s resurgence in the last decade resulting in a sp;urge of trophies, while Everton spent like a drunken sailor on shore leave only to find themselves fighting off relegation season after season.
Everton fans have an entrenched mindset, and it's always someone else's fault (usually Liverpool's) .
It really is a crying shame how it's turned out, and I don't see it recovering in the slightest between the two clubs.
I'd feel gutted for 025 who is a cracking chap, but I'd celebrate Everton's relegation like it was a major trophy win for the reds.
