Read some quotes from Chris Sutton. Now I do think the guy is a bit of a numpty (not as much as Savage, but close! ) however he was basically saying that not signing Bellingham has been a factor in us winning this season.
Crazy talk, right?
Well, his argument is that we got Szob, Mac Allister and Gravenberch instead and they have been the engine room this season.
Well, Bellingham's transfer to RM (including add ons) will be worth around £114m and he earns £327k per week.
Szob, Mac Allister and Gravenberch cost a total of £130m (roughly) and are paid a total of £420k per week.
Don't get me wrong, I would love us to have Bellingham from a player point of view. But for 14% more transfer fee, and 28% more weekly wages, we have a full midfield.
Looking at things from that lense, I am happy with the decisions we made 2 years ago.
Under Slot I can see Dom, Alexis and Ryan being better than Fab, Hendo and Gini, and they're still improving!
As an aside, I had a meeting with a very gracious Blue today - they do exist outside of Ed025!
{Ed025's Note - the pub i was in yesterday had quite a few Blues in Zed, they were all very gracious and applauded when Liverpool scored and at the final whistle, we stopped short of singing of course but it was all very cordial mate..

Ed025, there’s lots of gracious blues around, best to ignore the odd dickhead. Did laugh at the lad who relabelled the blue smoke grenades. Proper old school friendly banter.

Did you see ed25, a Everton fan brought lots of blue flairs, changed the label on them to red and sold them to Liverpool fans and you did notice outside the ground a few blue ones going off. Did make me laugh reading that, not sure where I come across it though.

Zed, I think it's a case of Bellingham being who we wanted only to find out that the other lads we signed were who we actually needed. However, you will only know that after the fact and when we win something which we just did as in, no. 20.
You can apply that to Salah's signing. Brandt was who Klopp wanted, only to find out that Salah was who we needed and the rest is history.

Bellingham is not what we needed he is overrated and is at a club that suits him more than he would of suited LFC . Happy with what we have to be honest the lads have done well.

The blue flares just made it look like the Everton fans were joining in and the city was celebrating in unison. I thought it was a nice touch.

ArAy1969, I could have stayed home and taped the game and watch it later HOWEVER, there was NO way I was going to do that. I wanted to see and experience the whole occasion from start to finish so I went to my local LFC pub to drink it in (pun freaking intended) and it was awesome.
