Just a general question on player temperament and attitude… with out club being linked to potential moves for Osimhen and Cunha and the slug that is Greenwood likely to be moving again this window ( though obviously not LFC bound) how much weight do clubs place on players potentially disruptive personality? (naming Cunha/ Osimhuem only as there are questions surrounding them however unfounded they may be)

In recent years Liverpool have signed Balotelli, Mane, Bellamy who arrived with suspect reputations but apart from Balotelli not being very good and the Bitey Suarez I can’t remember too many E H Dioufs. Has the club had any real toxic players polluting the dressing room recently? Has there been many players failed at the club for more personally issues?

Football rumours meets Jeremy Kyle.

He was one who could have benefitted from a right hook education! Actually, I’m more interested to know if anyone has succeeded at the club even if they failed (passed) Vikto’s D*ckhead Test.

You need to remember this is only Viktor’s opinion . He has been wrong before, so I wouldn’t be hanging on his every word. In fact, I wouldn’t hang on anyone’s word, they are all only opinions, including mine. Make your own mind up on players, do a bit of research to actually see if they’re as bad as some say they are.

I think it’s unfair to put Cunha and Osimhen in the same sentence as Greenwood. As you say a slug of a human being.

But yeah I think clubs put a lot of emphasis on it. Recruitment at top clubs now is holistic and takes into account lots of factors aside from ability alone.

From what I can tell there are no bad eggs in our current squad and I think that’s a product of our recruitment strategy bringing in good characters as well as quality footballers.

Recent one rumoured was Keita - remember ed01 warned about his attitude prior and believe when moved to Germany refused to get on team bus as either wasn’t in starting XI or squad.

Always a weird one as Mane rumoured to have had issues prior to joining us and then punched sane (may be wrong on who he hit) then was booted from Bayern. Similarly Suarez had terrible behaviour for us but can’t remember issues at Barca…though could be just never pulled up on anything there.

Our lack of problem players has coincided with a period of great success.
Cunha - I don’t think there’s a problem, sure he’s a competitor but I think in the right environment he’ll be a valuable asset.
Osimhen - Don’t know enough about his attitude, I just don’t think he’s good enough.

For Cunha see Cantona. Cantona was “a problem” until he settled in the right environment and transformed that team into serial champions.
Some players are not worth bothering with but I don’t think Cunha is one of them.

I think it was Ed002 who warned us about Keita prior to him joining us.

I would say that most top clubs do extensive due diligence on the temperament, attitude and background of the players. The importance of investing in the club culture and buy-in of values/ ethos is growing. Klopp has shown people the way.

People forget carra and gerrard had terrible attitudes and temperaments bordering on thugs, wasn’t a coincidence we started winning more after they both left, the dressing room must’ve been toxic with them two running it.

@Victor, we will not be touching Greenwood with a 4 foot pole, let alone a 10 fot one. Do you realise all the grief Marseille got for signing him last summer? This shows how desperate they were to win and for them, it has paid off. Sorry, we ain't that desperate, mate. Not anymore. Why? Cos Klopp (and Slot) already fixed that.

Oh, and we have a "Hole-arses need not apply" policy at the club which has served us very well for a decade now, btw so if a player has a stinking attitude then, he can kick rocks.

search ian graham on youtube and watch one of the interviews he's done over the last 3-12 months. he talks about this being part of their analytics.

The only thing i wished they asked him was how they factor it in. I was interested in how they quantify "good charachters"
