We might have an absolute heavy clear out of first team players this summer
Robbo, trent, kelleher, morton, diaz, nunez, elliott, tsimikas, gomez, quansah and chiesa.
Thats a whole team a first 11 to start a new club.
Ironically no jota. I think jota is busy with his ps5. Personally from the list id keep gomez if he is fit and does not want to go and add jota.

As long as replacements are bought or promoted from the youth then i have no issue with that, Slot got rid of 8 permanently in his first year at Feyenord.
15 Jun 2025 07:08:19
Yeah I’d keep Diaz and Gomez.
15 Jun 2025 07:37:50
Agreed on Jota, I have a feeling Gomez will stay as a utility player if he can maintain fitness and Diaz will hold out another year for the Barcelona move. Robbo has earnt the right for a bit of sunshine and the rest aren't good enough.
Reasonable guesses on price (in millions)
Chiesa £15
Elliot £35
Quansah £30
Tsimikas £15
Nunez £60
Morton £10
Robertson £10
£175 + the trent and Kelleher money covers Wirtz, Frimpong and Kerkez, overly simplified and most likely misunderstood (ed002 RIP) I know.

Gomez has only played 11 minutes of football in 2025.
Where’s the outcry that availability is the best ability.
Its like two tier Kier ?.

Based on last season, there is no case anyone can put forward for keeping Jota. I wasn’t even surprised to read last night that Jota got near enough identical numbers to the one and only Nunez in the 24/ 25 campaign, which is in itself some achievement. Time for him to go!
15 Jun 2025 09:32:08
I get the call to keep Gomez he covers a lot of positions to a very good standard too. That’s the thing with him his levels don’t drop. Swiss army defender.
15 Jun 2025 09:50:15
That's right, scouse. He's equally adept at not being able to play left back, right back and holding midfielder, due to being injured.
15 Jun 2025 09:58:25
The equivalent to Gomez in the forward line would be Chiesa.
Jota is meant to be a regular starter.
15 Jun 2025 10:22:58
Surely Liverpool would be able to get more than £175 for all those players? Chiesa would be a score at least.
{Ed077's Note - he said (in millions) there come one ???

Alonso I agree and let’s be honest quite a few players could also fall into that same category including the golden children who seem immune from criticism or moving on.
Quite a few of those played in less than 20% of league mins.
15 Jun 2025 10:47:18
Actually change that to 10%.
15 Jun 2025 10:53:42
Nunez is judged over his three seasons so why judge Jota on last season?
15 Jun 2025 11:04:08
Rigsby Nunez still gets judged and praised for his goal scoring escapades from 4 seasons ago and he was playing for Benfica at the time lol
It’s of no relevance that Jota was getting 29 goals and assists for LFC at the same point.
15 Jun 2025 11:07:01
personally I think this kind of turnover is a big risk.
15 Jun 2025 12:05:26
I am rather partial to an apple turnover. Just saying.
15 Jun 2025 13:03:52
I wonder if one of the desperate scousewives would like to turnover? ?.
15 Jun 2025 13:41:10
To be fair, I have been pretty consistent in my opinion on Jota. Not just on last seasons showing but the season before. In the 23/ 24 campaign Jota got 10 league goals, 1 EFL goal and 3 goals in the Europa League. These are not exactly move the needle numbers and hence why I wanted Jota moved on last summer. Compare those numbers to the one and only Nunez in the 23/ 24 campaign. 11 league goals, 1 EFL goal and 5 Europa League goals. As for Nunez, I gave up on him a long long time ago. So, you can kind of get the picture on why both strikers need to be moved on.
On a side note, I agree other players need to be moved on in addition to the two mentioned above. And going by the reports both on here by Akira and the well known journos/ ITK in your Ornstein, Joyce and Romano, it’s thankfully looking like that is what’s about to happen.
15 Jun 2025 14:17:05
Alonso good reply mate. And it’s all opinions pal.
I’d be happy to see 3 of our forward moved on. I find it crazy that some want Diaz shifted and Chiesa kept.
For me the first out the door would be Chiesa then Nunez and then Jota.
From the so called in the knows there are rumours that Jota might stay so if that’s the case then we’ll have to wait and see.
15 Jun 2025 14:31:06
Jota has 2 years left on a very nice contract and will no doubt fancy himself at a top club in what should be his prime years, complete guess work but he probably saw last year as a write off performance wise due to injuries. Of all the clubs in the champions league i can't see anyone wanting him. If it's this time next year and we're in the same boat then a lesser club might seem appealing just for the sake of playing regularly. I would love for someone to come in now with £25 mill for him maybe a west ham or similar but will he want to go? Fingers crossed a silly Saudi bid comes in and he goes for the wages.
