Suprisingly an unpopular opinion on here. but I think Guehi would be a brilliant signing and I also think he'd be more suited to a top club than one who has less of the ball.
Guehi will surprise a few on here, my guess is he benches Konate.

Konate should be benched if his desire is to play elsewhere.
Better still …sell him .

I have no inside info, so I have no idea what is going on with the contract situation.
I was just talking about ability and fit for Liverpool only. I think Guehi would be a better player for Liverpool than Konate.

My only worry would be the right side of defence would be pretty short with Guehi and Frimpong. Teams would target that side i would think.

I personally would not rule out Konate signing a new deal and Guehi signing. I know it's controversial but I have an inkling we might set up as a 3-4-2-1 next season at times (Slot has been fluid tactically throughout his managerial career) . Wirtz was reportedly sold on Liverpool because of the tactical plan presented to him and that is the system he has thrived in for Leverkusen. Same for Frimpong and Guehi. Kerkez certainly has the attributes to play as a left wing back also, even though he actually can play in a back 4.
I've got no evidence of this other than a hunch, of course.

I've thought that myself MK, could definitely be an option.
It's a good point ASB.

With Gravenberch switching between CB and DCM during the game?
Essentially 541 or 451 when defending and 433, 343 (both 3412 and 3421) or 352 going forward depending on personnel?
Welcome to 70's style Dutch "Total football" which is very similar to 70s style "Pass and Move" LFC.
Exciting times ahead.

What would you thoughts be MK, Guehi LCB, VVD CB, and Konate RCB? Could work but I think we would struggle going forward maybe.

Unpopular? The sheep think he's just as brilliant as you do. It's telling noone was ever talking about geuhi or how good he was before we're now linked with him. Not one person had him on their wishlist. Noone was stating isn't guehi brilliant, wonder will we go in for him. It's just sheep following the trend. He's substandard and the long posts "analysing" his apparent strengths is amusing to read. You don't see any other top team wanting him. Madrid got the best of the lot available. We're now scraping the barrel.

I would not be disappointed with MG.
01 Jul 2025 16:56:45
Batman, you're completely wrong. I have rated him for a long time. I have tweets dating back to 2023, expressing how I think of him as a player.
And yes, read through the site, the general consensus is that he's not good enough to replace Konate, only Quansah.

I don't think your point about 3 at the back is very controversial, mk, we already saw it in the last few games when grav would drop between the center backs when we had possession and everybody else would push up. I don't think we will ever start with 3 at the back, though, and I don't think Slot has ever started with 3 at the back in his professional career either. When we are in possession, though, sure, I think it is very much on the cards.

As for Guehi, I think that is certainly not as good as some of the folks on here think, I think it's nonsense that he's better than Konate, he doesn't have the same qualities and typically doesn't play the same side.
However, I also don't think he's anywhere near as rubbish as some others on here tend to think. Not sure why the opinions on the player are so polarised.

Spot on OP.

Batman, I can't recall anyone on here saying we should sign Frimpong.
01 Jul 2025 19:33:45
Rome, and you can add me to that. I said we didn't need frimpong. I've always backed bradley. I don't see many negatives to signing the lad but as I said previously, I would have been as happy to spend that money WISELY elsewhere.
