Ed001 what's your thoughts on Giorgio Scalvini you think he would be a good option to replace Konate. See reports of a £40/ 50m value think he seems a better option than guehi.
{Ed001's Note - I don't know mate, not seen enough of Scalvini to judge him at all.}

What happened to the player from sporting called ignacio any chance of him replacing konate?

Didn't watch him last season but the season before I saw him a few ganes and he was absolutely outstanding. Would love him to sign.

Ed001 No me too Ed just going on how highly he is rated. There does seem a lot of young cb coming through.

When the new Adidas kit for the forthcoming season comes out on sale will you be able to purchase all 3 at once or what not any ideas of thier release dates?

Like Bmena-red, I didn’t watch Giorgio Scalvini last season but I did watch a bit of him the season before and I was really impressed with what I saw. What struck me is that he looked like he could play as a DM under the right coaching. Big lad and was strong in the tackle but also seemed comfortable in possession. As far as how he got on the season just gone, I have no clue.

You know it’s a Grino post when it begins with Ed001.

Thunderbird that’s because I listen to ed001 greater knowledge of players I don’t watch much football apart from premiership or champions league as for Atalanta players I’ve only watched them against us. But as I read about the so called highly rated players I would rather ask someone who I believe there opinion.

I believe Ignacio was mentioned as possible Virgil replacement?

Regarding Inacio, the late Ed002 alluded that we pissed off Sporting by tapping up their player (can't remember which) a few years ago. I'm not sure if we have mended ties with them over that or not, but it could explain why we have not been in contact with Sporting over any of their players since.

I’m pretty sure Scalvini had a massive injury last year and barely played.
That’s why he’s available for a “reasonable” fee.

He was a bit unlucky with injury, had an ACL, recovered well fron it only to dislocate his shoulder.
13 Jul 2025 10:49:53
Great prospect. His recovery from that bad injury is the question.

From the small amount I've seen of him, he looks slow and spends as most of his time trying to slide tackle anything that moves.
Reminds me of more a Maguire than a VVD.
