Anybody else feel chiesa could be the surprise player in the new season when he plays the short times he as he looked a good player, feel he will be good as a squad player coming on late un games.

I honestly feel like he could be a Jota (rip) type player. Chiesa doesn't have the after burners to play in the wing but he is good in tight spaces and can get a quick shot off. So yes, an ideal impact sub at the 9 and someone to help break down low blocks.

Hopefully he has a good pre-season and is a but more settled.
There's a good player in there, if he can bring it to the table he'll be a good squad option. Could be very handy in cup games.

I don’t necessarily think so but I do hope so. Seems like a genuine guy and definitely had talent before his injury so it’s laudable that LFC are giving him the platform to help him find his mojo again.

The issue with Chiesa will be getting the chance to play. Unless Salah gets less minutes his chances will be limited in my opinion.

I like chiesa and hope he does well for us given a chance. But i think the preston match showcased why Slot might have reservations about him. Chiesa is clearly willing but i would hazard a guess that this is the first team he has been asked to lead the press. He often looked all at sea doing it - however he was willing to put in the effort so perhaps it comes down to whether he can learn it.

I think that we will see more of Chiesa the season. I think that he will help fill the void created by the recent tragedy and that we will likely see him coming on through the middle in games and to cover Mo in the early cup rounds (and if it goes well maybe AFCON) . He can play all across the front line and he cost peanuts in today's market.
He's finally on a par fitness-wise with the rest of the squad so only now can we truly judge him fairly. He might still flop but he might still prove to be a great piece of business. One thing for certain is that if you want to replace him with somebody else who can cover all 3 forward positions you are certainly looking at forking out way more than the £12m we paid for him and I personally would like to see him given another season to prove himself.
