Feel like Diaz is going to be a big loss and I kinda think we are changing too much, we won the league so why are we ripping it all apart?

Errrm. Diaz asked to leave. Have you been following LIV news of late? Would you like to repeat a Luis Suarez situation by keeping an unhappy player in the side? Win win for all involved imho.

Who's ripping what apart?
DJ20 can no longer play need a replacement (sad but true) got Ekitike
Diaz wanted to leave (will be a loss but adjustments will be made)
Trent left and needed replacing, was replaced
LB deteriorating, replaced
New midfielder added (one of best players in the world)
Has anything else happened yet?
I don't think anyone has ripped anything apart, it's just not like that.
Others thoughts?

Out of those sold so far and those that look like they're for sale only Diaz played a big part in winning the league, Trent not included as that was his decision. Allison, VVD, Konate, Grav, Macallister, Szoboszlai, Mo, Gakpo, Bradley. That's 9 potential starters from last season, we needed a LB, a Striker and have cover for the LW. Any extras are for squad depth which isn't a bad thing.

If players want to leave, you can't force them to stay.
It's better to move them on and bring in players who are eager to match/ exceed the ones who have cone before them.
It's Ekitikes (and maybe Isaks) turn to drive us forward now.

Seriously whatever you might think doesn’t matter since it’s some of the best in their business that’s making these decisions. I get that this is a discussions forum but holy moly it gets so tiresome with the doom and gloom post for absolutely no reason. Slot knows better and that’s the only fact. The club is not ripping anything a part for the love of god.

I think getting rid of a pacy winger at 28 is the right idea.
Look at Mane, his pace went and declined. It's not a hard and fast rule but this is the peak of Diaz's value. If we get rid and get Isak/ Ekitike then I think it's the right move.
Yes it can be seen as ruthless but it was what was missing under Klopp, hard decisions on players that have brought us success.
He wanted more money but that would of meant giving him a contract into his 30's and no one knows what type of player he'll be by then.
Yes it's a risk, but I think (hope) we have played this one right. And I wish him well.
Just as a side note, we can't have it both ways. We critised Trent for walking out and then we critised Diaz for leaving for a hefty fee? I'm happy he didn't just wait out his contract for a hefty pay day .

Sky have reported that two attempts were made to extend and were rejected by Diaz who wanted to leave in 2024 but we held firm at the time.

We are upgrading as we go though.
Despite winning the league and having a good champs league run you could see weaknesses in the team, weaknesses that needed addressing this summer.
Bradley and frimpong is probably a similar level to Bradley and Trent but Trent wanted out so we got the best possible and available player to replace him.
Wirtz is better than Elliot.
Etitike and Isak is an upgrade on Nunez, Diaz and Jota.
Kerkez is an upgrade on Robbo.
We are changing a lot but we also needed to as well, like I say Trent wanted out so we had no choice but to replace there. Robbos legs had gone so we had no choice but to replace there. Everyone who played upfront for us struggled so we had no choice there. Our midfield struggled with the game time so we’ve got Wirtz in.
Not worried about the amount of players in at all because they are all necessary signings and all unbelievably brilliant signings as well that will improve us and take us to another level.
Just need to sort out central defence and we are set, that’s the only question mark on the team for me, the lack of options in central defence.
