I've seen Collins play for Ireland and he gets caught out of position a fair bit.

Isn't collins quite slow though? Havcen't followed him so can't be sure, but Guehi I thought was pretty nippy for a defender.

Also, the stats are all about context. Just seen some stats saying that Marc Guehi did more tackles than Van Dijk and Konate, blocked more shots, had more ball recoveries and won more ground duels.
Is Guehi a better defender than Van Dijk or Konate or was his team less dominant in games so defence were called upon more?
Brentford and Crystal Palace play different styles of football, even though they finished quite close together in mid table, so that could equally be a factor.
Really difficult to conclude anything from stats, especially from defenders who are reliant on midfield keeping the ball away from them (as we do most of the time) or not.

None of them fill me with much optimism. But I suppose 3rd choice CB, is what it is.

Collins just been named captain of Brentford, so very unlikely to leave. As I said before, in my opinion he's a decent cb who is good with ball at his feet and bringing ball out from the back. Bit slow but strong aggressive player with plenty of experience and with vvd and ibou beside him, he would improve. But a move very unlikely as he's captain of Brentford.
On another note, now that Morton is gone to OL, does this improve Bajcetic chances of staying with us. I reckon there's so much potential and talent there. A real gem of a player. I know Celtic and few clubs in Spain after him. Like Morton, sad to see he go IF he does.

Collins is an average center back always seems to have to throw in last ditch tackles not good enough for LFC .
