Were in for a good season lads, my manager at work tells me Ekitike is going to score more than Salah and Haaland this year.

Ekitike will either play LW or be back-up CF when Isak get's match fit. So if he gets anywhere near Salah/ Haaland he's done incredibly well!

Ekiteke has taken most of us by surprise.
Not saying because of the two goals, but he seems to be an intelligent player on and off.
His movement and passing on the run shows he is thinking all the time.
If he is benched for Isak or Gapko we (team) might not be as strong as he can press which both Isak / Salah cannot do.
Frankly feel we will do better as a team with him leading the line and someone (Gapko) or anyone playing left.
In integratng Isak we end up loosing proper shape.
We also need to bench one of Macca, Szoboszlai / Grav if both Isak and Ekiteke have to play.
Best option is we don't get Isak. Not popular here but I strongly feel it will raise more issue than solve.

Rome, I was doubting it myself until those statements dropped the other night. There is absolutely no way back from that in my opinion. If Isak doesn’t sign now, he’ll down tools and we’ll just sign him in January.
Newcastle are being extremely foolish. They’re just going to leave themselves hardly any time to replace him.

Seen something a few weeks back saying our analysts had Techniqitike with a potentially higher ceiling than isak. He’s 3 years younger, he’s versatile, creative, strong and a very good dribbler and with the right coaching could develop even further than isak. He’s impressed with everything I’ve seen so far and makes sense why we went in for him even though I seen a lot of people questioning the move, I feel around the right players i. e Virgil, salah and seeing their mentality, he can really shine for us.

Assuming he remains fit I can see Ekitike bagging 20+ across all comps. I can also see Mo having an underwhelming season by his standards.

We're not paying 80 mill for Ekitike to be a back up CF. think we'll go with 2 upfront.

Slot will rotate and probably change up the tactics too. Sometimes 1 up top, sometimes 2 up top. Slot is extremely versatile tactically and is trying to build a squad to be as versatile as his tactics.

Stroms if we play 2 up front that would likely mean Wirtz dropping to the bench, unless we play a diamond mid but that would mean dropping Salah and Gakpo.
If Isak comes I think Hugo will be used as Diaz was last season rotating between striker and lw. Who knows but Slot will have plenty of options.

I think slot will be flexible with his tactics, I can see a world where wirtz plays lw, with both Ekitike and isak up front, I think this though would be very game specific or when chasing a goal late on.

Dirty mic. I think Slot will rotate his systems and players to suit who we're playing. low block teams would be ideal for both Ekitike n hopefully Isak, think we have options all over the pitch now but think Ekitike will play more often than people think even if Isak comes.
