Maybe it's just me but I thought Hugo's red card was bloody hilarious. Just as long as he doesn't do it again.

I must have a different sense of humour to you, Nick, because I couldn't see the funny side and, more important, neither could Slot. I loved his press conference, making reference to scoring winner in CL final etc. His absence on Saturday could cost us points. He was an absolute tool.

i hope it doesn't cost us, and im sure he'll learn that lesson. good thing we still got the win.

I found it rather worrying personally. Picking up 2 completely needless yellow cards for actions that you know are going to get you a yellow card is not ok. I get the feeling from Robbo's interview that he was going to go into the changing room and tear him a new one. He's a great player but he won't last long at Liverpool if that kind of idiocy continues. Hopefully it was just a one-off.

And, for the record, Ekitike isn't a kid, he's 23.

As long as it doesn’t cost us on Saturday and as long as he learns and matures then yeah I can see the funny side.
I know everyone says footballers are thick and it kind of reinforces that statement.
What I found funny was Frimpong going nuts at him, like how does he know Hugo’s booked already but Hugo doesn’t lol.

7 wins out of 7 and we’re scraping the barrel to be upset about. The real issue from last night is the injury to Leoni. We are down to 3 CBs and it’s a bit of a way to the January transfer window. Hopefully no serious damage done but I suppose someone taking their shirt off is a lot more of an issue.

I remember when I was 23. I was stupid as well, convincing myself I was a fully matured adult when I was very, very far from it. All in hindsight of course!
23 is still a kid in my book.

I'd be worried if he already had a reputation for stupid behaviour, but he doesn't. 23 is a young age for a man, they say males don't mentally mature until 25 - and they still say I'm yet to mentally mature at nearly 31. He's a young guy that made a stupid mistake, it's not like he remembered he was on a yellow card and thought 'nah f*** it, I'm going to get a red card to celebrate a tap in. Young blokes can do stupid things and I saw the funny side of it.

Yeah Nick, good point about him not remembering, it’s not like he’s paid £250k per week to be a professional or anything. It was completely stupid and is always a completely stupid to pick up a yellow that somewhere down the line almost certainly means you’ll miss a game. Save the yellows for when you need to protect the team.

I'm not upset about it, WDW, but I'm not making the excuse of his age for doing what he did, and neither is Slot. I'll be singing his song, when I'm next there, but last night he was a tool. End of.
