Now Leoni is out do you see any need for another CB on a short term contract, or use what we have. Perhaps Endo/ Bejatic.
Guehi may come in Jan but that's half a season away.
And secondly, i have never liked to criticise a player. But i could not believe how many times Joe Gomez gave the ball away. Poor passing, slipping, and taking far too long to move the ball on. Perhaps lacking game time but it was a poor performance. Endo was also poor but i could at least see a determination to have bite in the tackle, even if it was not his night.
Should we be worried?

We’ll be fine as long as Virg stays fit for 2 months. Gomez, Konate and even Endo all look a level higher than they are playing next to him.

Id be confident going into most games with a combination of VVD, Konate, or Gomez for the next 2 months. If needed, Endo has looked fully competent at CB when played there and no doubt Szoboslai could also do a job.

@Darwin, how many games do we play between now and January? With Konate and Gomez’s injury records I think it is fair to say that we are going to need more than the three of them.

I have checked and its 14 league games and 5 in Europe. That would take us up to Jan.
Perhaps Leoni will be back before then?.

We all know we are now desperately short at CB. VVD and Konate will need wrapping in cotton wool, because if either were to get injured, neither Gomez, Endo or Robertson fill me with confidence having to play a run of games. And it's over 3 months till January.

With most teams seemingly afraid to even attack us other than a quick break i think we'll be okay with any combination of VVD and Gravy gomez robbo endo konate and even rhys williams at a real push.

It's the first time I've heard somebody suggest playing Szoboszlai at center half haha
Considering how many aerial duels our center halves have to win and how much space they have to comfortably cover with teams trying to go direct after camping out in a low block in their own half, I'm not really sure how many options we have to fill in for either Virgil or Ibou when they're not playing. I suppose we would have to tweak the way we play entirely to adjust.

I don't normally worry about our injuries as our squad is as good as anyone's.
But, Gomez does not fill me with confidence, and Endo can be excellent or poor in equal measure.
In regards to VVD and Konate, kid gloves, cotton wool and finger crossing come to mind.

Slot has already used Grav in the back 4 too, I'm sure between VVD, Konate, Gomez, Endo, Grav, Robertson, Bajcetic (if he can prove any fitness) and Williams (lol) we can survive those games. If we're well ahead in any of the games taking off VVD or Konate just to give them even 10-15 mins extra rest between games could prevent a little injury here or there.
