Anyone think it’s worth giving Wirtz a go next to grav?
Mac doesn’t seem up to speed yet, he spends a lot of his game there anyway, but then we miss a link between the midfield and strikers.

I would keep him in the 10 but behind ekitike and Isak. Salah and Gakpo both really poor recently.

Don’t get why we can’t just have grav and szobo sitting behind witty, Wirtz can feed isak and epitome out wide on the left.
We need to start subbing salah though.

It’s worth giving Chiesa a go. He’s not put a foot wrong this season and Slots froze him out.

It’s not about Mac being up to speed. He’s not good enough, period. He’s slow, weak, presses poorly (what was he doing for Caicedo’s opener? Similar story with Bruno G last season), is a split-second too slow with his first touch, never wins duels or second balls, and seems to fade massively in games. His cool image as a world-cup winning ‘technician’ prevents any serious analysis of his actual quality as a midfielder.
Wirtz and Gravenberch - top class players
Szoboszlai - good, but something is missing from him being top class and I don’t know what it is.
Jones - not making the step up.
MacAllister - simply not as good as people thought.

Why? You’ll be wanting him to play nets next. Wirtz needs to find his feet in the position we purchased him for.

@Sailor jerry, been saying this. As for Salah, I would rather stop talking about it cos Im getting fed up with him and also with Slot not playing Chiesa at all.
And no, Wirtz is a no. 10. Either he plays there or he holds bench and if people are too impatience, send him out on loan.
