Tonight.

Our team have to show what they are made of. It's that simple. The setup has to be solid and aggressive. The speed in the build up has to be quick and purposeful.

Defence has to be switched on and steadfast.

No excuses. No moaning, we expect a huge reaction. The reaction of Champions.

If he cannot get a performance that makes a big big difference to what we have been watching since Spurs last year. He has to go!

We cannot carry on like this.

YNWA.

I love it when you say "he will have to go", then follow up with YNWA. The word hypocrisy springs to mind.

Well said Rome. Sad times.

Took the words out of my mouth Rome1977!

Hoping Villa come to play tonight but I envisage they will time waste and sit everyone behind the ball.

Came out this week that Brentford spent over 9 minutes taking their 10 throw inns last week and now the powers that be are looking into new laws for throw inns and goal kicks to fall in line with the 8 seconds the keeper is allowed.

Anyways back to the game. I think Slot will frustrate some by going to his tried and tested or favourites for tonight’s game.

Personally I don’t care who he picks as long as we get that win.

We are right behind the manager and club - easier to stab them in the back when they don’t give me the success I expect.

You’ll Never Walk Alone means nothing to some people. It’s simply a soundbite, it’s something you say if you are a Liverpool fan. I use the word fan very loosely.

Reading these pages over the last few weeks have reminded me that there’s a lot of fans out there that don’t feel the same as me when it comes to supporting Liverpool. They are so quick to turn on players and a manager who have given us so much just because they are losing face with their mates down the pub or more likely on Social Media.

The way I see it, this club has given me some of the best days and nights of my life going back over 40 years. If I can’t stand by them and cut them some slack after winning the title last season and having so much upheaval in the summer for various reasons then what does that make me?

We are fortunate to support this amazing club and we win more than our fair share of major trophies, we really don’t have a lot to complain about. It won’t always be great but we are Liverpool and we stick by our team win, lose or draw because we know that if we do that it won’t take long for the good times to come back again.

Call me a superfan if you want but I’m just a fan. Have been since birth it’s part of who I am and I’m not about to join in this entitled, ungrateful revolution.

Jesus Christ.

Not all super hero’s wear capes. Thank you for your service.

That from Robbo ?.

01 Nov 2025 12:08:46
Thanks JK and you’re welcome. Somebody has to be the yin to your yang.

If we all thought like you and Irish we’d be Spurs.

01 Nov 2025 12:17:55
Ive been a fan of liverpool for over 40 years and went through 30 years of not feeling entitled, so if we voice our opinion if we've lost 6 out of 7 games we're not real fans, im sure you were calling for Hodgson to be sacked when we were down near the bottom of the table.

01 Nov 2025 12:26:22
Todays fans are very impatient and toxic. i've seen people slating isak as a failure even tbough he's been the second best striker in the league for the last two or three years. Same with wirtz young new country team etc and if he doesht get 15 ga in his first 10 people call him a waste of money.

Things like this often take time the fan base just need to be patient. Form is temporary class is permanent.

01 Nov 2025 12:35:50
Robbo if you thought like me you might be at a game.

01 Nov 2025 12:43:17
Maybe the fans that feel the need to voice their concerns care more about the club than Super fans like BP.
I’ll stick to the facts, we are on the worst run of defeats in a very long time, that’s the reality. They say an Ostrich sticks its head in the sand, well them and BP.

{Ed025's Note - if fans need to vent Irish then this is the place to do it, its about opinions and all posters have valid concerns which is fine, its not as if you are sitting in your seat at the ground booing the players mate..

01 Nov 2025 12:46:26
Spot on, Robbo. Well said.

01 Nov 2025 12:54:52
Come on then Robbo let’s hear how you believe you’re a better fan than not just myself but any others on here.

You’re gunning for me today because yesterday you claimed that the players didn’t return to pre season and likely went compassionate leave and I merely presented the fact they returned to training 3 days after the funeral. Which now makes me have no empathy or humanity in your opinion.

I don’t believe you to be a super fan. I just see you as someone who seems to hold themselves in far higher regard than anyone else. So humour me with the reasons.

01 Nov 2025 13:09:40
Totally agree Ed25, doesn’t make you less of a fan, probably means you care more in some ways. Have a good day ??.

{Ed025's Note - yeah Irish, the trouble is some people think their view is more valid than others...and its not, you have a great day mate..or more so great night when the reds batter Villa 3-0.. :)

01 Nov 2025 13:53:53
JK let me start by addressing your belief that going to games makes you a ‘better fan’. It doesn’t, it just means you have the time and the means and you live in a location that allows you to do it. Nothing more.

You’ve criticised me in the past for this and you’ve even said I lied when I said I used to have a season ticket but had to give it up so let me fill you in.

My Grandad had a season ticket in the main stand since the year dot. When he died my Dad took it over and I used to go with him in the days when he could just carry me into the ground. Unfortunately my parents got divorced and my Dad moved away leaving my Mum as a single parent. She kept the season ticket for me for about another 3 or 4 years and I went on my own during my early teens but then she couldn’t afford to keep it up so we had to let it go and shortly after that I moved to London. So you see you should really consider people’s situations before you go casting aspersions. Things happened in my life which meant I had no choice but to give up my season ticket and I was devastated.

I go whenever I can, not to prove I’m a better fan than anyone just because I love going and supporting the team.

Then on to why I’m a ‘better fan’. I’m not, I even said I’m not what you might call a ‘superfan’ whatever that is. I just think if I were to celebrate our triumphs and wear my Liverpool shirts, wear my scarf and be proud to be a Liverpool fan when we’re winning why would I not be exactly the same when we’re losing? I’m a Liverpool fan, I support the club, the team and that’s not conditional.

I don’t support if we’re winning but criticise everyone and spout hatred, calling for people to be sacked if we’re losing. I support, that’s it.

I especially won’t be calling for someone’s head when he won us the league last season and is now having a tough time. He’s one of us and he deserves our support especially considering what him and the team have been through.

01 Nov 2025 14:26:24
C'mon now, surely anyone comparing Arne with Slot deserves a lifetime ban. ?.

01 Nov 2025 16:26:09
Robbo I didn’t ask for your autobiography.

You said you’re the ying to my yang so clearly you believe you’re a better fan than me but didn’t address any of that on your long winded reply.

Jump onto the live chat tonight and I’ll fire my contact details to you. Grab a pint at Anfield and let bygones be bygones.

01 Nov 2025 23:21:25
I’d be happy to have a pint with you JK and we’d probably get on well. The written word is quite often taken out of context which I think happens a lot on here.

Next time I’m up I’ll let you know on live chat and we can meet up.

Incidentally me saying I’m the ying to your yang had nothing to do with me being better, just that we think differently. I’m surrounded by Spurs fans where I now live and this site has been like speaking to them for the last few weeks. We’re only a game away from booing the team and manager off the pitch it seems.

02 Nov 2025 07:01:59
Classy reply Robbo.

Believe it or not I actually have a very similar opinion to yourself. For some unknown reason you thought I was calling you out when I said they returned to pre season on said dates and it showed I had no empathy or humanity. I’ve never said the players shouldn’t be upset with the sad passing and I imagine they are still feel and have every right.

The pre season return wasn’t my opinion I was just stating the date they returned.

100% on the beer ?.
