I feel sorry for Mo, he’s frustrated, it looks like he only speaks out when he feels he’s not being listened to in private. He has been the model professional since he’s been here . Everyone jumping on him in the press. Well I say everyone Graeme souness gave the worst interview in Liverpool history! John Terry model pro, Wayne Rooney model pro Jamie Carragher model pro. They all made the headlines for the wrong reasons .

I’m more ashamed of carra opening his gob says Liverpool way is behind closed doors but all over the news giving his views. If mo was frustrated slot should have calmed his fears. It’s a mess but it’s one I think good man management could have solved unless they really do want him gone. I’ll support only because it’s my club but make no mistake this has made me even more slot out. I’m done with it now,

It's Mo's fault it wasn't done behind closed doors. He was the one running to Sky, and slagging off the club and manager. It's Carra's job to give his opinions to the media, that's what he is paid to do.

In my opinion Mo only throws his toys out of the pram when it in his own interest, just like just before he got a new contract.

I didn't think my opinion of Jamie Carragher could sink any lower, but he keeps finding new ways to show just what a POS he is.

It's just piling on now.

Some of the pundits seem to be getting more and more desperate for attention and clicks, the three you mention are in that vein. Sky is pretty sensationalist generally, and talksport is similar. They’re all much of a muchness.

When Jamie C comes on I turn off these days. Not because he’s critical of us but because he doesn’t bring as much to the table anymore. He was ok when he started out, the incident put most people off him regardless of what he has to say. As for the other two, well .

08 Dec 2025 22:14:38
Elliot so you think Mo never went to slot or the other coaches and asked what’s going on he just went straight to the press?

08 Dec 2025 22:25:31
John do you think that's impossible?

08 Dec 2025 22:35:00
Scouse, if he had gone to Slot or the other coaches, I am sure they would have told him what we can all see, and that is that he is not playing well and just like other players in the squad, you will sit on the bench for a while.

But unfortunately Mo thinks he should play every game even when not playing well. I think that when he comes back from AFCON, it won't be to Liverpool, which is a shame. But you can't live in the past, all players eventually move on.

Carragher is in no place to call anyone a disgrace. He literally gobbed at someone. No better than El Hadj Diouf him.

08 Dec 2025 22:53:55
Carragher and Neville have run their course they need taking out of sky tv they are boring they think they know better than everyone else
To be honest i always thought carra was average at best he was lucky he had class players along side him and now his problem is he believes that he was something special and this gives him the right talk rubbish and has to much to say .

Why be cross with Jamie Carragher? The guy gave his all for us, with limited skills (though to put his skills into perspective he played cf as a kid, as did Sol Campbell) .

The guy was routinely butchered by us fans. Dripped blood for the shirt. Short temper, but rarely on the field. Consequently, he gave every inch of his being to play for us: if he sees a player doing us down, he is entitled to call them out. Not my favourite pundit, but he seems even-minded.

08 Dec 2025 22:49:54
It looks like that’s exactly what happened Scouse.

Regardless of that you don’t go crying to the press anyway. Claiming he’s being victimised? He’s just been dropped because the team isn’t playing well and is leaking goals for fun and he’s an empty shirt defensively. Simple as that.

Nobody has said it’s all his fault, he’s off to AFCON next week anyway and the team would’ve had to find a way to play without him so why not try it now?

He’s only been on the bench for 3 games. 3 games! One of which he came on at half time and he feels the best way to vent his frustrations is make the team and the manager’s job even harder?

I’m sorry but he’s shown his true colours here and Carra is absolutely right (for the first time in his life) . He thinks Liverpool FC is the Mo Salah show and we should all cheer him whilst he miscontrols the ball and doesn’t make any effort to track back. He’s not hit the target since September and he literally couldn’t trap a bag of cement.

Nobody has a devine right to play for Liverpool regardless of what they’ve done before. He needs to learn a bit of respect and humility, take it on the chin and come back stronger but after this I couldn’t care less if I never see him in a Liverpool shirt again.

I’ll treat him with the same distain he obviously treats us with.

08 Dec 2025 23:28:50
Souness, Carra, Rooney, Terry - they’re just “rent-a-gobs” these days. It’s what they’re paid to do, they’re like actors in the premier league/ Sky TV soap opera. ?‍♂️

I don’t listen to them, it just winds me up.

Mo spoke out, he shouldn’t have, it’s done now. I wish Sky wouldn’t make it into a major drama.

08 Dec 2025 23:42:25
Carragher is a complete clown.

"I couldn’t care less if I never see him in a Liverpool shirt again.

Best fans in the world.

No one should take lectures from someone on what is or isn’t disgraceful if they gobbed on a child, Carragher is a weapons grade hypocrite and his opinion is worthless.

09 Dec 2025 05:43:13
Sean Dundee take a break you sound like a buffoon. No nuance to your comments and have zero thought for Hughes and Slot’s ineptitude to communicate to Salah and the fact they’ve tried to push him out.

09 Dec 2025 07:49:24
Some of the comments on here re Jamie C are so far off the mark, it's hard to read. He said she said. he did this he'd did that! Grow up the lad is doing his job. Like it or not he's paid for his opinion!

No only does what he feels he has to do, but he clearly planned this! It was made just in time to catch the print media before deadline.

JC was right in 8 years, he's stopped 4 times in the Mix Zone. None of those interviews seem to be about his team mates? All seem to have been about Him.

We all live and learn, we all make mistakes. Rooney still makes them, perhaps he should look in the mirror? Jon Terry was a great player but an awful human. I don't like comparisons.
I don't condone what JC did gobbing on that Mancs car, but saying he spat on a child is pushing the point. seem to remember the manc trying to play it out as a "I'll get you for this" play. My point is it was in the moment and he was punished for it.
What mo did was calculated. It was done to cause max damage to the club and his team mates.
Arna Slot handled that press conference really well, I don't believe he has what we need to get out of this situation, but judging by the managers banded about on here? Let's do a Man U and spiral out of control.

Stick with Slot for now, don't force the issue. change in the summer.

I actually like Carragher, I think he talks well about football…. I don’t however condone his disgusting behaviour spitting at that girl.
As a player he was great for Liverpool, limited ability but he was on a leader on the pitch and a stalwart for us at the back.
I don’t know what to make of this salah situation, on her hand I agree with both carragher and ed001 with their read on the situation.

Fundamentally I don’t like how salah has gone public, and I think it is unprofessional and throwing the club under the bus…. but, I can see he is a model professional and been great for the club and clearly feels unhappy. I just think these things should be kept behind closed doors.
