A little bit of positivity and maybe hope for the second half of the season!
Arsenal dropped 22 points between Jan and May last season. So with that in mind do we still have a squeak if the team got its sh#t together? Of course we would need to get within about 5 points of them first of all to apply a bit of pressure and see if they crack ?♂️
Who knows, might be just a pipe dream but Arsenal haven’t won a PL with that team under Arteta, they could wobble!
Anyway, it’s been a great year . We are still PL champions after all. Arsenal can’t say that yet. Happy new year to you all . Here’s hoping we all stay fit, healthy and happy in 2026.

Would be a hell of a comeback if we did Irish.
Sadly I don’t think this squad under Slot has it in them. I think top 4 (5 if it’s CL) and CL qualification for next season gives us a good steady platform to go from again in the summer of next season.
We look extremely frail defensively and especially at set pieces and it gives teams a game plan when they play us.
Hope I’m wrong though but would be interesting to see what odds we are to win the league.

Love it. If you can't live in a state of wild hope on adversity then it must be very unenjoyable to be a Liverpool fan! Wasn't all that long ago we needed to do the same kind of thing begging to break back into the top 4 over feckin spurs. I'm optimistic for our chances of some success this season! However since the 13/ 14 season I haven't began a single weekend expecting citeh to drop points unless they are coming to Anfield??.

I think City will go on and win it Irish - imo!
Arsenal - second and we’ll get third with annoying frustration at how close the points difference will actually be!

I don’t think we do. If Arsenal drop points it’ll be City who benefit. They’re on a run of consecutive wins and look relatively solid, with the addition of Semenyo you’d have to say they’re likely to batter most teams. We’re still extremely weak in midfield, we’re weak in defence and only have two fit centre backs, we’ve not much pace in attack and we still gift soft goals.
We’re not fixing that in January so 3rd or 4th is the best we can hope for at this point.

Agree with Mikey, I think City will do it. Id prefer them to do it over Arsenal to be honest.
Only half way through though, anything can happen.

Not a chance of catching city r arsenal imo but 3rd is certainly doable if we played anything close to what we capable of. Don't think anything around us is too great, villa, chelsea + United v average.

I can’t see the FA letting arsenal lose it. I really do believe if it’s neck and neck the outcome for the case against them ( city) will be dished out with point deduction.

Given the drama, poor performances backroom staff fluidity and squad overhaul top 4 would be a result in my book. Yeah we all wanted us to consolidate our position of strength given the league then spending spree, but I've been an LFC supported long enough to know we just don't do things the easy way.
