I just found out that Trey nyoni and Rio get double what Curtis jones gets a year! It's mind blowing how low his salary is compared to the rest! I think spurs can get him in the summer and if I was him I would run especially with such a poor contract for a good player.

going 2 get stick but Jones is not good enough ment 2 be creative player hasn't scored a goal in over a year runs around yes but passes ball back and sideways that's why he is on that wage.

Bull jive.

Rio is capped at around 52k a year for a first proffesional contract, Nyoni was the same before signing a new deal, taking him to a reported 25k per week where Curtis has reportedly been on 15k a week since 2022. If he renews with us it will be on much more than Nyoni.

Or he could always negotiate a new contract.

According to Capology he's on £50k a week, which is more than enough for a squad player.

Maybe he can cope on £15k a week, I know I could, and maybe he doesn't want to leave for another club.

He must have the worst agent in the world.

I'm with Slot Out Fan he doesn't do enough. He barely scores or assists. He's neat, tidy and can keep the ball, albeit occasionally too long. I think he's the perfect squad player and that's all he'll ever be for me.

Cant see Curtis being on less money than 2 youngsters who've hardly played any adult football, he's played over 200 top flight games, 15k has got to to be one of the lowest wages (if true) in any of the top 6 teams,

Jones like a few others frustrates me as a footballer, it's like you know there's a talented player there, but are waiting for him to impose himself on the game. He always slows us down and keeps the ball to long.
I think at the moment we have too many of the same type of players, It's like playing with 5 number 10s in the midfield at times. We are doing rondo's in the opponents half, just keeping possession and waiting to be tackled.
How often do we see Kerkez, Gakpo, Jones, Wirtz and Mac Allister all on the left passing it to each other, trying to get a cross in to Ekitike who is being marked in the box by eight players.
I know it's the Manager worried about our defensive quality. Boy it's boring to watch.

Curtis is a good player but needs to work on moving the ball quicker. He often takes 4 or 5 unnecessary touches. I like him as an option and he is in the starting lineup ahead of Macca on merit at the moment. He has shown glimpses of being a real quality player but he does need to show it more often.

You have the same issues I have with Jones, Shipley. He has SO much to offer and the potential and ability is there, IMO. And I agree, Macca should not be starting ahead of him. Don't think Macca should be starting, period but that's just me.
I think CJ just puts way too much pressure on himself in a bid to show the world how techy and good he is that it warps his decision-making ability, something I and many of us have always mentioned as his biggest weakness. It's okay to have a chip on your shoulder BUT I think he takes that way too far, as well.
