Looks like fan favorite Captain Chaos is on the move already with reports that Al-Hilal have agreed to sell Nunez to Fenerbahce.

{Ed001's Note - I am gutted as I was looking forward to seeing him play next week.}

04 Feb 2026 20:23:32
He'll be a big miss to linesmen in Saudi.

04 Feb 2026 20:55:37
Ed001, we're you planning on going to watch him?

{Ed001's Note - well I am going the game as the stadium is like 50 yards away. I was hoping Darwizzy was playing as my parents are here and me ma loves him. I go to most of Shabab Al Ahli's home games anyway. They are a very enjoyable watch as Paulo Sousa plays similar style to Klopp. I went to Qatar the weekend before last to watch them play Bobby's Al-Sadd, which was a great weekend. I am apparently the only non-Emirati that follows them so I spend half the games being interviewed by various TV channels.}

Sounds fantastic, have a great time with your folks ??.

{Ed001's Note - it's very good and cheap.}

04 Feb 2026 23:40:32
Finally some media with a bit of cop to get your analysis. Wouldn't that be something?

05 Feb 2026 00:28:13
Tell the truth Tris it's actually their version of Crimewatch ?.

{Ed001's Note - shhhhh, no one knows that here.}

05 Feb 2026 07:54:16
Oh no if your parents are staying that means we won't win this weekend???.

{Ed001's Note - that is the big worry. Just hoping that, as we carried on losing after they went home last time, they are not the jinx. If they are, it was nice seeing them but they will be on the next plane home.... ;-)

Deal is off Ed001! You'll get your wish.

Do have to admit I miss captain chaos. If he only he could find the back of the net, he would've been some player. Having said that, I'm chuffed we have Ekitike now. Really reminds me of Torres with the way he plays.

{Ed001's Note - yesss! Now I am excited! He is pure entertainment and he would never have let Martinelli drag Bradley about. He would stand up for his teammates. Shame he couldn't score in a brothel with a fistful of 50s, because he is extremely likeable.}

05 Feb 2026 10:50:50
To be fair he has scored some real crackers for us ed, it's the easy ones he always seemed to mess up.

05 Feb 2026 12:59:28
On spot Ed001, Darwizzyy was a fighter!

05 Feb 2026 13:02:08
Still love the guy, I regularly watch the highlights for him and Firmino, he should of scored more but we really could of done with some of his chaos this year.

05 Feb 2026 13:54:19
Always loved Darwizzy as a player and as a person. He gave a very moving interview in Spanish after he rescued us at Brentford last season and can came off as a very mature human being.

Stands up for his family and his team mates. Still love the way he went up to Pep after the City game to allegedly ask him what he thought of the goal Trent scored. Hilarious.

Had Darwin Been there like Ed said, there is no way Martinelli touches Bradley w/ o getting his bell rung. Lovely guy. If only he could increase his conversion rate by just 5%.

05 Feb 2026 15:45:45
5%? More like 90.

05 Feb 2026 15:46:45
I love Nunez, I'd have him back in a heartbeat. He'd be a brilliant gakpo replacement.

05 Feb 2026 17:01:09
If Nunez could shoot, pass, control a ball, stay onside and head the ball he'd be a decent player.

{Ed025's Note - spot on JK..

05 Feb 2026 09:00:33
Ed001 your mum has a thing for long hair pony tailed footballers I guess as Pat Berger was a favourite if I remember ?.

{Ed001's Note - he is the favourite. She still needs a bib if she sees him. Though at her age she needs a bib more often.}

05 Feb 2026 20:59:57
Rome, you're doing too much there so relax with the hyperbole. Darwin had 18 goals in all comps. in the 23/ 24 season. An increase of 5% in his converssion rate mould have translated to between 20 and 25 goals in all comps. that season and only heaven knows what that would have done to his confidence.

Sadly, we will never know.

06 Feb 2026 05:52:17
To be fair Nunez was an absolute chance magnet, got in good positions regularly, made excellent runs consistently and hit the post a lot. Of course we also know that he is blisteringly fast, runs tirelessly and is a more than willing presser. With a tiny bit more luck and composure he could have accomplished a lot more in his prem career.

06 Feb 2026 09:24:32
With a lot more luck any player would accomplish more.

With a bit more luck the club wouldn't have taken a 40% hit on his transfer fee and maybe his Saudi club wouldn't be looking to move him on after 6 months.

06 Feb 2026 11:19:30
You really dislike the player jk, we get it.

06 Feb 2026 14:44:39
Patrik you really dislike anyone else having an opinion.

We get it.

06 Feb 2026 16:15:41
You're pretty touchy today JK, everything okay?

06 Feb 2026 17:41:44
All good mate thanks for asking.

You ok?
