Chelsea n Man united both dropped 2pts today, that gives us an opening, we got to be on the front foot tomorrow from the off to have any chance of catching those in front of us, come on Slot let us off the leash.

10 Feb 2026 23:21:50
Exactly my thoughts. No excuses now. If the players want to play in the champions league then they must focus as well and get us there. No more errors of not putting chances away.

11 Feb 2026 00:17:05
Slot will find a way to contrive to mess it up.

11 Feb 2026 00:22:57
All I've been hearing lately is how we've got no chance of top 5 now but tonight just proves that nothing is certain.

Anyone can take points off anyone in this league.

11 Feb 2026 01:17:37
13 games = 39 points to play for.
Remaining fixtures don't look too bad. Not many hard away games although it's hard to tell.
Players still to return like Frimpong, Joe Gomez.
Isak back April fingers crossed.

We know Varry. Everyone has taken points off us this season.

11 Feb 2026 06:40:31
Chelsea have horrendous fixtures remaining. I can see them dropping down the table.

11 Feb 2026 08:08:50
It's not that I don't think United and Chelsea will drop points until the end of the season.

I think they will.

It's that I think Liverpool will drop even more points.

We don't seem capable of going on a run of wins. And to that end, won't finish top 5.

11 Feb 2026 08:28:16
We've won 6 games out of the last 20 league games and only 1 game out of the last 6. How anyone thinks Slot is suddenly going to turn things around and we go on a miraculous run, when we concede cheap goals regularly and are second best all over the pitch is not in touch with reality.

11 Feb 2026 08:37:02
Navy you could be right but my point is anything can happen so why has everyone given up?

It's almost like some people don't want to finish top 5 just to make sure Slot gets sacked.

Just support the bloody team.

11 Feb 2026 08:44:03
To be honest I can't see us winning tonight, it's that bad.

11 Feb 2026 09:26:16
Fatwallet, with the shambles we are seeing this team serve up under this manager, I don't see that either esp. vs a Sun. team that runs, outworks and outfights their opponents at home.

Check their match vs City. Non stop action from both teams. With the slow rubbish this teams serves up, it's going to be a tough one tonight.

11 Feb 2026 09:42:38
We still have to play United and Chelsea, I wouldn't be confident in winning those 2.

11 Feb 2026 09:44:34
I don't think it's people not wanting to support the team Varry. It's more like people don't support Slot due to what he hasn't achieved and what he has presided over during the previous 9 odd months. People have lost confidence in achieving any results and progression under his watch. It's not going to change either until he leaves and people are frustrated with that fact.

11 Feb 2026 09:51:30
Varry, half the players already gave up, season written off. Why should we fans hope for anything better than Europa League?

Sunderland are a very good team, especially at home. We can't beat Burnley, Leeds and Nottingham at home. I struggle to have any hope we can beat Sunderland away.

Slot has no idea what he's doing tactically. He uses players in the wrong positions. He doesn't trust anyone who's not in the starting 11. He makes substitutions too late. He's clearly lost the players and the fans. I have zero hope for the rest of the season if Slot is still in charge.

11 Feb 2026 09:52:16
We had big back-to-back wins prior to the City game. It was 3 wins in 4 games. If not for imploding in the last 10 mins against City we could have easily (and should have) made it 4 wins in 5.

I'm not saying that we will go on a good run but to say that we can't is ridiculous. We could quite easily go on a good run and United, Chelsea and even Villa will be watching over their shoulders with interest because they won't have written us off like many on here have.

Also, before people start accusing me of being a Slot sympathiser, I am not. I want him out (and I have said so since November) but I support Liverpool and I want the team to do well. This season is far from good enough but it is not inconceivable that we could still finish as high as 3rd or as low as 10th. Whilst it's still a realistic goal I'm going to aim for the best outcome possible.

Its exactly that Varry.
