Seen as tonight's messages will be about our poor season. Im watching the game on Prime an there's 3 strikers (Rooney, Sturridge an Fowler take bias out of it an just ability that suits this team) on the panel an Shearer on commentary. Out of all 4 who would best suit this team.

Fowler and, imo, it's not a contest.

For me, and throwing bias out the window. Even tho he hates us, Wazza was the most complete striker out of the 4 of them. He would be perfect for the way the team sets up. With bias, it's always Fowler. ?

Agree, Fields. Rooney was absolutely phenomenal. One of my favourite non-LFC players to watch. Power, pace, aggression, relentless work rate, exactly what we're missing right now.

Fowler, all day, everyday.

As much as I hate to say it, Rooney was special. Fowler for our and our goals, but you can't deny Rooney was one hell of a player.

{Ed001's Note - so was Fowler.}

Don't know the 'right' answer to this question, but Daniel Sturbridge is one of them at underrated strikers in the Premier League era. Classy, score any type of goal, could pass a ball, could beat a man.

If injuries never got him, I will die on the hill he'd be just above Harry Kane level and that's insane levels of quality.

Sturridge is not underrated, he had, like, one good season, if anything, he's overrated by those who are fans of his. He couldn't shine Fowler's, Rooney's or Shearer's boots.

Rooney. Exceptional forward. People talk about Cantona being Fergie's inspired purchase, but imo his greatest purchase was Rooney. Different level player. Had it all.

Clearly Rooney. I adore Fowler, aka God, but Rooney is up there with the best strikers of this generation. He offers everything this team needs.

Finishing chances, Robbie, all day every day. Rooney was a better footballer, but Fowler was lethal until he got that injury at about age 26.

God was one of the most natural goal scorers I've ever seen, so it would have to be God.

Sturridge is not in the conversation with those 3, I'm afraid.

Shearer was a great finisher and a physical handful.
Rooney was good all over the pitch.

Fowler could do it all. I'd take Fowler over Shearer, and Rooney was a different type of player, not an out and out striker.

In this team, I'd take Fowler. Scoring goals has been a real problem for us and there was no-one better than Fowler for that.
